Title: sys question
Post by: Kat Kid on April 06, 2019, 02:16:28 PM
my son had a question about how many times you can cut a nightcrawler before it dies and doesn't just worm around x3 or whatever.  What is the answer?

At the Nature Center in St. Joe during the summer they do this thing where you can bring your kids and feed the fish. I thought it sounded cool so I took the kids last year and they give you a bucket of nightcrawlers and a pair of child safety scissors and you cut the worms up into little pieces for the fish.  Pretty disturbing.

They had a snake at the Omaha zoo just out in the open for any kid to touch. Everyone was touching the hell out of it. Bet the snake thought it sucked ass. Seemed chill though. Drugs?

There’s also a skyfari which is a ski lift that takes you from one end of the zoo to the other. It goes over only herbivores but the rhinos are one of the exhibits. If you fell off you’d probably not get eaten but would for sure suffer serious injuries if not death.

One time at the butterfly house thing at the Omaha Zoo a butterfly landed on my neck and I almost smashed its guts out but then I remembered not to smash it because I was in the butterfly house.

I have an epic video of my wife and kids losing their crap in the rain forest building at the Omaha zoo when the zoo staff put out a bunch of fruit and all the fruit bats went crazy

That is an assassin/wheel bug/beetle and it will A) eat bad bugs and B) possibly bite you with the most painful bite you’ve ever had. Kill it.

Yes. Get some glue traps and put them under the bed, behind the toilet, etc. There will be tons of them caught.

Where did you find it?

Don’t try to bug bomb or anything. That kind of stuff doesn’t work on recluses.

Not such an easy fix. They often move with you.

We have a local company spray monthly and I usually find several dead ones along the baseboards throughout the month. Every once in a while I will see a live one, but usually they just stick to our unfinished storage area. Not looking forward to possibly moving and having to mess with that.
