More details to come, but FattyFest will be Saturday 9/21. That's the first football bye week.
We may have something going in the late morning or noon-ish, but the main trivia/auction part will be in the mid-to-late afternoon and we expect there to be some show/pak'n at Mae's on through the night. Book your hotels/cars accordingly.

Are you the friend or the stripper?
COME TO FATTYFEST AND FIND OUT

Just as a heads up, there will probably be a signed Freemaw jersey available at the silent auction again this year.

No repeat performances of the last time you attended.

ICAT raised $280.
$300.
I now think this can get $1000 this year.

I'm so excited for FF this year after missing one. Everyone should absolutely come especially with this type of notice. This is more than a courtesy notice, folks. Gonna be fun being the youngest 2x champ/ team captain ever. @bunter , remember that time your team wussed out on our tie breaker question and it was just you but I single handily won it anyways? Making out with my title still from time to time. Wish those other losers showed up so I could've embarrassed them too. Kinda shitty they put you in that spot tbh. I get it tho.
-
I've secured these boxing gloves for a potential FattyFest item.

If they look familiar, it's probably from when you were at Diego Boneta’s & David Bernon’s Halloween at the Hedges by Chivas Regal on October 30, 2017 in West Hollywood, California.

Wow, this is still pretty accurate.
Hoping to have this locked down in the next couple weeks, but here's the general idea.
Probably late morning, something that may include a bit of a campus tour and actually seeing the space at the library we're hoping to have secured by the end of this FattyFest and/or hearing about it over at the Foundation building, along with brunch/lunch together somewhere. Anyone can come to this, including those that won't be getting pak'd the rest of the day. Aside from getting to see what the point of all this fundraising has been, part of the idea here is to extend FattyFest to be a full day of stuff worth traveling to, without everyone being dead by 4pm. If it's tough to get out of family stuff, make a trip out of it - bring your whole brood and do this morning part together and then have them do other things while you're slamming beers and answering trivia questions for a few hours.
2-ish, start the usual FattyFest events at Mae's - trivia, auction, etc.
When that ends, we'll have pizza or something available, hoping to line up a partner where we can sell the food for donations. But the main thing is we'll all be able to stick together for dinner.
Post-dinner, jakesie's band and whatever other entertainers are procured will do a show there at Mae's and on to the usual night of FattyFest debauchery.
I encourage all to stay Saturday night and we may even be able to line up a group discount at a hotel. But if you can't, there'll be enough going on during the day parts to be worth the trip and still be in shape enough to drive home.
We still have some accounting to do with the library people this week, but we think we're going to be in a position to do a huge push this year and make this FattyFest the last one where we're stressing a bit about how money is raised. If so, future FattyFests can be just partying and bringing in a few bucks for upkeep at the library.

That's fuckin sweet, good job Trim and everyone

I will be in Aggieville this year for fattyfest 2019! I have blocked out the entire day. Can't wait to see all the olds... :shakesfist:

FattyFest is my favorite day of the year. I hope everyone takes this into account when they decide what they're doing Sept 21st.

That’s still under construction. If anyone wants to go hold KK at gunpoint tomorrow, I can tell you over the phone what to make him do.
Plan on being in MHK by 10:30 on Saturday. If you’re parking right then, use that campus lot that’s diagonal from aggieville. Still waiting on KSU for some stuff, but there’s going to be some sort of campus tour and potentially a tour/presentation of what the money’s all for as well as brunch/lunch, not sure in what order. But this will be a cool sober thing to get to town for before pak’n starts, especially if you don’t get back on campus often.
If you can’t get there in time, registration/mingling at AMP will be about 2 with trivia start at 3 at a leisurely pace.I think we’re going to have dinner for sale during a break in trivia so that we can all stick together. Stevesie’s band will play after trivia, auction, etc.
-
XT: you gotta coordinate wichita. I get there Thursday about 5:30. I assume it’s #longbone night. I work Friday and would like to go up to Manhattan (scheme on way?) that night, but need a ride or to rent a car. I have an extra bed in MHK both nights. Need a ride back to wichita sunday, and then i’ll have that day and Monday night there for whatever, fly home Tuesday after work.
-
Also, related to the waiting on KSU thing, we’re hoping to confirm that this can and needs to be the last FattyFest with a big emphasis on bringing in money. We’d still have FattyFest going forward but more of just celebrations rather than the fundraiser spectacles we’ve had. So don’t miss this one, there probably won’t be another quite like it.

Update for all the libderps - a gun is not required; you just have to be able to physically overpower KK. And now that it's morning, I'll clarify that I'd like this done tonight at the latest.

Looks like my Thursday night and Friday night are tied up with kids' sports. We will be in Conway Springs on Thursday and Marion on Friday. I'll just have to plan on heading up either LATE Friday or early Saturday morning. Additionally, I will have the signed Freemaw jersey with me for an auction item again this year.

Hey friends, it's me Stevesie. You may remember me from years past. AANNNYYYWWWHHHOOO.....
As Trim said, we're waiting to hear back on the campus stuff, but roughly the schedule is:
11am - campus/library tour (to see what the fattyfund is going towards)
12:30pm - break out and have lunch in a nonorganized manner
2pm - silent auction at Mae's start
3pm - trivia (in which everyone will lose to ERII, _FAN, mocat, nongoEMAWPaul and myself)
5pm - we take a break between the first and second half of trivia. this is where dinner will be available. we will have cards beforehand to mark if you would like pizza, burgers, fries, etc. this will be turned in before trivia and all money towards food will be a donation. this is one part (of two) we are still waiting for more details on, but will be super easy and more importantly, keep everyone together so we don't all separate and get lost *ahem* Daris and 'clams *ahem*
6pm - 2nd half of trivia starts
8pm - Betty the Astronaut (best band in Kansas?) starts melting people's faces
-
Also, as Trim said, this may very well be the last full fundraising fattyfest (4 f's!!). So if there are any silent auction items you have been sitting on OR waiting for an excuse, THIS IS THE YEAR AND MAN WE WOULD ALL LOVE TO SEE YOU!!!!
This is my favorite event ever, and my favorite day in Manhattan every year. Cats, man.

@ksu_FAN really killed it during Boscoe's Boys trivia
-
I keep forgetting that as of now we anticipate that all ticket-buying will take place there. We may try to take RSVPs somehow, but all of our efforts in the past to get tickets sold in advance and really pin down attendance expectations have never worked.

FattyFund.org is temporarily correctly updated! It's going to be an interesting week after which we'll be able to add/restore a lot more detail, but nothing's going to change as far as the overall schedule and plans we have up now.
Note that tickets this year are just $20, all taken at the door. You of course can be setting up teams on here and such, but much less responsibility being asked for by us this time, and a much lower admission price. We want everyone back for what may be the last one of this type at least, so we're keeping it as simple as possible.
Definitely try to come for the morning part. It's either going to include seeing what all the fundraising culminated with or be a session at where we present some options and seek input. But you'll get to see campus and be able to make a whole day/weekend of this and justify the trip. Try to stay in town Saturday night and get fully pak'd.

Are the strut n' cutters getting back together for a final ride or am I a free agent?

I'm going to be there and I'm pretty sure Gooch is planning on showing up. Still working on abducting Johnny Wichita for the weekend.

Even better than that day last week that I told you I was going to come watch your show but then had to back out a couple of hours later?

It was a week later. My excitement had plenty of time to fester.

Remember to be looking for what you can contribute to the auction. We always welcome people bringing stuff as they arrive, but it'll help if you can let us know in advance what you'll be bringing/sending, or even offering something we could auction and have you get to the winner afterwards.
Pete is going to be helping this year and we're hoping to be a bit more organized in taking bids from those who can't attend, but we're not to be counted on. You should attend for many reasons, with the ability to bid on fabulous items just one of them.
-
Website is close to being all set. Need to get some specific dollar figures but estimates are up. That includes the official announcement that all of this is going to result in the Shwan Alkhatib Collaboration Room in the renovated Hale Library!
With that sorted out, we've been able to push the start time next Saturday to 11am. We'll meet at the Union and start with a KK-led tour en route to the Library for a slightly more formal ceremony there around 11:30-ish. When that concludes, we'll take everyone back through campus to see anything we missed from the first part and back towards Aggieville for lunch and down time before the usual stuff gets going by 2 at Mae's and on through the night.
We've also set up a twitter account - @fatty4ksu. Follow it, RT it, etc. That account tweets out posts from facebook.com/fatty4ksu. In addition to promoting FattyFest all week, we'll use those accounts to show what's up for auction at FattyFest and take bids remotely.
But get to Manhattan for any and all of it, this is gonna be great. Shwan's parents are going to match all money we raise as part of FattyFest up to the amount left to hit our goal. KK's getting the exact numbers but factoring that opportunity in and another donation already en route, we're expecting we'll need to bring in around $9K this year to get this done, which is definitely doable. LFG.

let's spread the good news!

In an ironic twist, Alaska Air Southwest’d me on my flight today and sprung a irl FattyFest next to and into my seat. I stood in the back for the last 1/3 of the flight.
Point being, all of you people will have an easier time attending than I do, so rough ridin' do it.

Everyone, if you can't be there this year, please think about making a donation, or bidding on some silent auction items. I'll be helping to update the FFS facebook site and twitter handle with the status of auction items tomorrow afternoon. Even if you think you can't make arrangements to "obtain" your item, we'll give it to Winters and Csourk and the guys or something if you win.
All to a good cause.

Party.

All attendees got a $5 token, and then I put the rest in groups of $20 and sold them for $15, like selling food stamps for cash.
Then, I often had no change for $20 bills so people would pay $20 anyway.
Win/win/win. T-Y

fr was ridiculously (ridiculously) nice to do what he did. I combined my fr $5 maes token to go with other random gift certificates that I had laying around my house to various mhk eateries and put them all up for auction as a special rick daris food tour of mhk. it read something like...
$28.47 for jeffs pizza
$51.46 to mr k's
$31.25 at colbert hills
$5 token to maes
