The thing is..K-State could win by 20 tomorrow, but Iowa State has been decent enough, that their fans will still turn out in the tens of thousands at the Big 12 tourney like they haven't lost a game since Jake Sullivan graduated.
Seriously, there will be 200,000 of them in KC. It's their favorite (only?) vacation.

not at all HBBIQ here, but I think the defense was not that bad. But ISU was just on fire from 3. Circus shots, off balance, 2-3 feet from the line... Their shots just fell and that's that. Hot team on the road. We've been that and now it was someone elses turn. Sucks to lose at home tho

We definitely weren’t gonna score more than 78 if Wade stayed in, but they wouldn’t have scored 78 if he was in. They had a ton of easy rebounds and baskets in the paint after Wade went down.

Shooting 61% is dumb though. They didn't get that many more open 3s than normal and a lot of the open ones were NBA range. I think open 3s is in the mid 40% range. If they shoot above average and we shoot average we win.

Yea our D could have been better but they're good at offense, it's to be expected they make plays. The point of factoring in the 3 point averages thing is they did enough to win by a decent margin outside of 3 point luck (and injury) luck.

end result isn't surprising though, both teams shoot average from 3 and iowa loses. iowa=trash. when you get the money in good, you can't blame yourself when you lose, which we did against them.
