I have an amazing mumped up story about my life right now, that I want to share soon, but need it to be anonymous in some way and case closed by next Friday. You won’t even rough ridin' believe what happened in the last few weeks and what’s about to happen by the end of next week. I wanna share this story, but it might need to be in the Pit, hidden, hopefully by next Friday. :crossfingers: T’s & P’s so I can make a movie about this. #CliffHanger

there is that one anonymous thread 1thread or something

Pak’d Clams on the phone just told me that what I did at the climax of this story is too risky for a kid on the way and should be shunned even though the end result is good. Maybe clip this till next Friday. Not sure he was giving me a chance to build the plot though. Video games... :curse:

1. Started at a company in 2015 and a peasant named C was the only person not to welcome me. Made jabs to my future boss about my anxiety, my look, my presence, etc. while the whole time my then CEO and COO loved me and wanted the hiring manager to hire me right away. Saying I was the future for them.
2. Sad C who’s a single mom of 2 who lives off family $, alimony, and hasn’t worked since college because of baby daddy keeps bragging about all these degrees she’s chasing so she doesn’t have to pay student loans at then 34.
3. Said poster starts killing it. Hiring away doctors away from practices she never thought of. Making her look bad.
4. Poster goes on road trips with her for the next 3 years while she’s plowing Doctors I hired, staff, and married men. I keep to myself while she judges me having a 2nd beer on a road trip.
5. She takes over an academic recruiting role where she goes on the road half ass presenting our product while most the time working from home. Text me late one night that: “you’re not that good at your job, just lucky!”
6. March of 2018 our CEO announces retirement, I’m a bit worried, because I love this job.
7. September 2018 a new CEO takes over. Literally firing anyone I was close to, by my time last Wednesday, I lost my credentialing manager (can’t hire doctors and not have them credentialed or no bonus), marketing, COO who loves me, our lawyer, my doctor recruiting manager, and many more important ppl.
8. March- I finally show concern to the new boss (CEO). He knows I don’t want to be a manager, so he has me find my next one and help hire him (which I just chose who my team was comfortable with, because they’ll have to deal with him and I’m out on leave for the tourney).
9. Our HR Director resigns (I was super close with), C left academic recruiting in December, wanting to be her assistant, now she’s just covering until our outside firm finds us a new one. C is a gigantic bitch and the field knows it, they don’t know she’s covering, but they’ve heard rumors.
10. New boss of mine shows signs of sucking, but he’s letting me work from home, so whatever, he’s grooming his ponies in DC remote, he has no idea what he’s gotten into.
11. CEO, field, and new manager tell me to stop recruiting. I’ve apparently overstaffed doctors for them. This is legit unheard of in this field. I’m rough ridin' capped. How do I make $? I ask if they can up my base for the time being, but they laugh at me. No Christmas bonus for the first time ever either previously.
12. I hear C is upgrading to HR Manager because our new execs are lazy AF and are just like, whatever. I’m like “wtf?” This bitch brags about getting banged in the ass by some of the Doctors on the road, mumped over one of my close friends at work, and starts rumors at work. She’s not qualified for this. Jesus, I rough ridin' hate her.
13. To this day her new position hasn’t been announced, because rumor on the street is everyone will walk if she takes over. I got PAK’d last Friday and asked her “Are you seriously taking over HR?” Crickets for 2 hours, PAK’d Wacky at 11:30 PM last Friday “because that would be super weird knowing you’ve mumped a bunch of my doctors. Let’s see how this plays out.”
14. She wakes up saying I harassed her and blah blah rough ridin' blah and her boss will see this on Wednesday “. I’m thinking this botch isn’t dumb enough to play herself, so whatever.
15. Wednesday morning I get walked back to the new CEO and COO saying we have to let you go and you know why. I’m shocked, but like whatever, I’ve had enough with all of you dumbasses.
16. Realism kicks in and I ask HR to send me over the paper that I signed. Messaging is obviously doctored up by her, not showing my main concern about her influence on the field and hating me for no reason. There’s nothing there showing why I had concern.
17. I get home, smoke a heater, and explain myself via email to the CEO about her vindictive nature and her relationships in the field. He had no clue. He said: “ We never wanted to let you go. You’re the best at what you do!”
18. She’s apparently on leave while I scramble to hit up competitors that I stole clients from. I have 5 interviews with bigger firms offering me almost 1/3rd of a raise in base and they need me now.
19. Said poster already has a follow up interview with the VP of HR, company wants to offer said poster, The #1 company in the field says “let us know what they offer, we’ll fly you in Wednesday to checkout our digs and then see if you’re comfortable with our counter.” And scene.... TBC
-
First offer on Tuesday (big pay raise) and then the competition wants to fly me to Arizona to woo me on Wednesday. What would you do?

Whoever milks off someone for 8 years not working, shows up one day bitching about her surroundings, keeps going to school not to pay school debt to get her 3rd masters, because “he won’t pay for my loans and he use to”.

This is the laziest top secret posting I’ve ever witnessed.
That said, it sucks you had to get fired to let yourself play the field but now that you’re here have a blast!
-
This place made me feel important previous to September 2018. I don’t know if you’ve ever worked for someone like that, but Monday’s felt easy. It’s a way of life we all wish for. If i get this huge pay raise, continually work remotely, and she’s on leave. It’s funny. She’ll end up playing herself.

I think they’re into deep. They gotta ride or die with her now. The best justice will be said poster getting a 15K raise, continue to work from home, cover territories like Cali vs Indy and have benefits galore. Let’s do this next week, friends! T’s & P’s!

Seems like a best case scenario for someone fired for sexual harassment

Look you can get top recruiter or you can get guy who doesn’t drunk email you about other slutty coworkers, but you can’t have both.

Listen, if you feel the head of HR should be someone who’s mumped everyone in the company, then be my guest. There was no emails, it was texts, and she is a terrible person. I know how inappropriate it was, but I’m sorry I stood up for myself and told the bitch off. You guys remain high and mighty about your crap. She’s ethically the worst person I’ve ever came across in the world of business. The company is a sinking ship and I knew the field would walk when the announcement of her promotion was made, which still has not been delivered, because they had no idea the monster they just hired.
-

I’m sorry @8manpick, I can’t get past this comment. I sexually harassed her? This bitch has been written up like 4 times for how she use to talk to previous management. She doctored the write up for me, thinking it was smooth sailing for herself. Maybe it’s the new PC culture that has you feeling this way, but JFC. Meet the bitch before you start throwing stones.
-
Not passing judgment, but it's just not smart strategy to voluntarily give said "bitch" the rope to hang you with.
-
yeah, just because she had it comingtm doesn't mean it was a great idea (not passing judgement)
I just think it's important you understand that your life is improving* in spite of what you did and not because of it. Next time might not work out as well.

I didn’t mean that as a snide comment. I thought in the story that the “said poster” drunkenly texted the head of HR about her rough ridin' doctors, and then got fired because she reported that sexual harassment. Maybe I read it wrong, but I wasn’t “throwing stones.” If that is an accurate retelling of points 13-15 above then I was “stating facts.”
-
Facts sometimes hurt.
-
That’s fair and there will be no next time.
-
wacks you handled that really poorly but I'm glad it worked out.
Hindsight's 20/20, but if someone's describing sexual acts to you and it makes you uncomfortable, you're being sexually harassed and shouldn't have to "keep to yourself" - depending on the situation you could either tell her why it makes you uncomfortable before reporting to HR or go straight to HR if you can't address it directly to her. (Given how you behaved in this story, going to HR first is probably best). If you know she's plowing clients, she's crossing an ethical boundary that could seriously damage your company's reputation, and should be reported immediately to HR.
If she's just plowing guys that aren't clients and she's not talking to you about it, that's none of your goddam business, whether or not they're married. Good for her.
Also have you considered giving up drinking? Serious question. I think it would be great for you as you seem to have really poor judgement when you drink. I have several friends who got sober without necessarily hitting rock bottom or anything and it's been great for them. Including members of this message board who I know would support you!
-
TF is wacks?
-
Yes. I definitely have. I’ve talked about it with the Mrs. I would like to just cut back overall, but I don’t think that’s a real thing. I definitely self medicate at times with my anxiety and it ends up doing the opposite of what I’m looking for it to do. I appreciate the support and you’re totally right.

I like the new CEO's linkedin page. Wish I could have found some record of him playing college football.
My resume is the usual highlight reel but the full story is more complicated than that.
I threw a lot of interceptions as a college QB, made countless clumsy sales calls in my first job, gave overly-complicated strategic advice as a management consultant, let my ego get in the way in my first executive role, failed to get a start-up business off the ground, and mistakenly thought that my consulting background would make it easy to become an operator.
-

definitely TX/LA because NOLA is a better place to visit than anywhere in AZ/NM and Dallas is basically Los Angeles

Needs more hashtags IMO.

Kinda what I was thinking. I just like Phoenix so much, but NOLA is amazing.
-
I would take Arizona/New Mexico.
-
I gotta think about dental schools. Arizona has university of Arizona and Midwestern. So Mesa and Glendale. New Mexico has zero in their state. Louisiana has LSU and Texas has A&M, Houston, and another smaller school in San Antonio.
-
Texas is much bigger market than AZ and NM combined. But dental hygiene is probably not a priority in LA.

Texas bores the eff out of me, but I have a lot of friends in Dallas and family in Louisiana. They're opening new practices in California soon, so I was thinking maybe that's why they would want to start me in Arizona.

I just looked the companies linkedin page and realized that my co-workers wife works there :surprised:. Thankfully she is not the one you had issues with. I know from hearing my co-worker talk about her job that she really hates it there and was about to quit about a month ago, just walk out the door on a Friday. He had to talk her out of it and convince her to line up a new job first.
Sounds like a great place to work!

Yup and unfortunately she had enough 2 Fridays ago and finally quit. I really liked her. She reached out to me right away to run ASAP.

What if TX/NM is a team of like 4 people, but there is only one AZ/NM guy? Based on that alone, I'd prefer to be the lone AZ/NM guy.

Yeah, gonna do some more digging on that one. Wish me luck. Follow up with the VP of HR at the other company today via zoom.

Take that to Wacky's World, this is a family blog.
-
Wacky’s World is a wasteland now that Wacky doesn’t post here anymore.

Heath, what gives with the name change? :dunno:
-
Katdaddy, NO!

Hilarious follow up to this, I filed for unemployment for the two weeks I’ve been off and they (company) rejected it. I’m like “Wtf?”. It was her who rejected it, because she’s the only one left in HR. Kansas called me today for my side of the story and I told them about the major conflict of interest in this case.
-
irl bud, I do not think you can claim unemployment for that

Yeah, I have no idea how it works. Just annoyed they left out the reasoning for my concern on their report. Had a missed call from my last new boss yesterday too. Possibly a butt dial, but who knows.
-
I don't know shitloads about it but I think you can claim unemployment if you are laid off due to downsizing and things like that.
-
 Fair enough.
-
I imagine a severance also effects eligibility

I would like to see the world where this anonymous poster gets a severance.
-
Oh, I thought a previous post said poster got some $$
-
I think the unemployment claim was denied because it was filed anonymously.
-
I don’t think you get unemployment if you are fired for cause, but idk
-
I guess I’m confused why we put $ into unemployment for it every paycheck, but I’ve never received it before, so who knows what’s accepted or not. It was definitely self induced, but the way they rigged the claim on their end bothered me a bit and now the state knows it. Whether they grant it or not, I want her to see my response. I never communicated with her after the event and they sent her on leave for a week the day they let me go so we couldn’t speak in the same room together about the matter. I’m having a crap ton of people contacting me by the day about all the unethical crap that’s going on there right now and they’re happy for me. Oh well either way I guess. New job starts on Monday in ATL and then they’re flying me to Detroit on Wednesday. :Woot:
-
you are confused as to why you don't get unemployment when fired for calling your boss a whore in an after hours text message?
-
Wasn’t his boss dumbass.
-
lol
-

1. Not my boss. 2. Most of us work remote, so there’s lots of after hours texts that have went on through the years, like her calling my previous boss a flamboyant fat ass because he wouldn’t put up with her crap. Never reported it though, because I never really gave a crap until I saw what was happening with the company. Read Glassdoor if you’d like, but I’m sorry if I was a bit concerned they were promoting someone who bragged to the office about her getting ass mumped by one of my doctors. A bit concerning that she’s what’s left in HR, squawk lover.
-
All valid reasons for texting a female co-worker that she is a slur. But you can’t be surprised you don’t get inemployment
-
Shouldn't wacky just change his name back now?
-
That’s fair, but the way the company has handled this is totally unfair. She’s said worse things over texts late at night over the years and for her to decline the claim and walk away peacefully is kinda insane. Besides the gigantic raise, it all worked out, I just thought she’d be humbled enough to accept it and walk away from the scene. Single mother of two and no sympathy for a kid on the way here. I could have outed her so many times, but wasn’t petty enough. It finally built up and she took it here. One day after the promotion, that still hasn’t been announced to the company because more people will walk. That being said, I get it.
Also, shut up, chings. We get it.
-
you see the difference between officially reporting something inappropriate to the company and drunk texting something inappropriate directly to a person you think acts inappropriately, right?
-
its like stand your ground laws. whoever lands the killshot is innocent.
you fired your pistol into the ground (her phone) and she fired hers right into your heart (official company channels).
-
Yes. I felt it was worth giving my side however. If it happens, it happens. If not, whatever. Best of luck with the sinking ship. Are you in HR, Puni? You’ve been pretty passionate about this subject.
-
i just want you to understand what happened to you
critical thinking is my hobby
i am not in HR
-
also this situation is fascinating to me
-
also i only posted 2 other times before that
pretty sure everyone else is in double digits at least
-
Her calling someone else a whore, bad person, satan, etc. to you is not the same thing as you calling her promiscuous directly. I am kind of an expert in where this stuff crosses the line and resulting actions and no matter what your side of the story is that’s never going to be a happy ending for you. I say this as your bud.

there are battles and there are wars. you lost both BUT may still live a happier longer and more prosperous life because of it (just like imperial japan)
-
Fair. Thanks, friends. I needed this. Trying to be good these days.
-
Anonymous 420guy, did they give you any type of severance?
You can draw unemployment after being fired but there is some type of waiting period. Chances are you’ll be starting your new job before that waiting period expires.

Obviously you didn’t really want to be there anymore but I think I would have probably blamed it on taking ambien and see how that played.

Haha puni

Guys this is called Winning The Dang Day! I for one am happy that this random came out on top. I hope that if something similar happens in the future he will look back on this and do it differently next time, though.

No negative consequences

No, I was the only human in company history to actually cover my territory in the last few months.Obviously you didn’t really want to be there anymore but I think I would have probably blamed it on taking ambien and see how that played.

I got the two weeks of unemployment FWIW. Apparently my previous CEO gave me a glowing endorsement to my new company. I just think the guy is in way over his head. In the end, EMAW always wins.

 OMG, YOU GUYS!!! @SteveDave
I just stole my old companies last Doctor Recruiter and he's going to come to work for us, leaving them with zero people to recruit now for them. Talk about coming full circle. She's the only person left in that department now.

Nice work my man!

Hope you read your employment agreement first.
-
Yeah, we're good.
-
No non-solicitation provision?
-
Yeah, they're having to tear up their old agreements as we speak. Everyone is walking on them and nobody has been challenged in the last year, because they lost a bunch of cases previous to that.
-
Well, party on, then!
