There are 10 high school quarterbacks on NDSU’s team. One is an all-American linebacker, another is an all-American corner.

flipping the Texas CB and getting a decent grad transfer running back are probably about as good as it was going to get for CK this year aside from holding together the existing class which was a nice job. Hoping he can hit on a Hail Mary for the late period.

oh don't go looking at other league's recruiting classes. it will just make you sick.
it is an eye opener as to how far below the other conferences the B12 really is.
UT and OU hold their own but there is almost no other decent recruiting class in our conference.
KSU, OSU, Tech, TCU, have been absolutely destroyed in the state of TX by A&M and other SEC schools
missouri recruits TX better than us.

I'm no mathlete but here's what stumps me: They say there are 5 "Power" conferences. If each of those has 16 teams (I realize we have like 7 and the Big Ten has eleventy-five, etc. but stay with me here...) that would equal 80 teams. If our recruiting class is ranked 80th does that mean we are really just one lineman with great hips or one Mahomes guy with sweet hair away from dominating this stuff?? I've just not paid attention to recruiting during Bill 2.0 so I'm a little rusty.

Lots of good athletes choose non-P5 teams over P5 teams. So that may help explain things.
Also, recruiting rankings are about as reliable as weather predictions 1-2 months out.

I'm not a recruiting expert but if you look at things like getting that Ball State transfer and flipping that Cal commit and getting both the Lawrence guys in like a week on the job with three assistants, you can't help but be a little encouraged despite the rankings. I'm sure overall the class relatively sucks, but given the circumstances there are definite positive signs

Saban used to say that you recruit every teams running back because he is there best athlete, then move them where you want.
Teams now put that dude at QB more often than not.

2012 we had Childs and Tuggle were both RB's that played defense. The speed of these two caused the strip fumble for a touchdown against OU. Team speed in 2012 on defense was great.
