Title: FOOTWATCH 2018
Post by: pissclams on November 05, 2018, 12:50:33 PM
we can use this thread to document any and all foot related injuries this year in an effort to pinpoint the root cause.  when i lay it out like this and we get the big picture view, things get pretty scare as there's a shitload more that we don't know than what we do.  perhaps it is a casper related sponsorship opportunity as mentioned in the other thread

i really hope that FOOTWATCH 2018 doesn't eff up our F4 chances but if it does we will have it all documented right here, courtesy of goEMAW.com

Can Brett or someone put up some odds on who gets the next foot injury.  This thread is great but with THAT...... man.   :Woohoo: (ftp://:Woohoo:)

I'd guess Diarra is like 5-1, Mawien 7-2 and Stokes 2-1.   :Stretcher: (ftp://:Stretcher:)

The rumor is that it does a body good, and last I heard the foot is part of most humans' bodies.

How does somebody not fix this?  When you go into a season with a “foot watch” thread on mthe sage board perhaps the f’n administration would think that we need to do something different?

Maybe this goes in the conspiracy thread.  This happened against a team whose coach raises awareness for Samaritan's Feet by coaching barefoot in one game a year.

That rough ridin' piece of crap couldn't inconvenience himself to spare two minutes with me to explain the nature of my knee issues. He came in the exam room, looked at the MRI report for about 30 seconds, announced the prognosis, and attempted to walk right out before I stopped him and demanded to know wtf any of it meant. Didn't get any type of explanation. I had no idea he had anything to do with Kansas State Athletics and never saw his face again until just now, more than seven years later when I'm about to get total knee replacements at 44 years old.

No wonder we have a Footwatch thread with this eff face as the team doc.

How do we not fix this issue?  It’s been going on for years.  Did we write it off to just bad luck?

No big should ever sign with Kstate, ever, until problem is fixed.

And now it also might cost Wade chance to finish his senior season and be healthy for run at draft.

F everybody associated with our practice facility, floor, training, medical, and coaching staff.

Nike shoes may be crap, but that's not what is causing our excessive foot injuries.

I’m not sure if you know how timestamps work or not.  However if you compare them(assuming you know how they work), when I posted it was before KSU made a statement about Dean.

good thing he was playing in a blowout with under 2 minutes remaining.

I'm guessing that he (and everyone else) just thought he had some foot pain like he has off and on the entire season, but last night/this morning it didn't respond to treatment like it normally does so they checked it out. Probably the joy and excitement of winning the conference during the 2nd half and after the game subdued any extra pain that he might have had until later as well. In any case, it sucks for Dean if he has to miss more than a few postseason games.

So Wade was seen Saturday night and Sunday afternoon around town, apparently without a boot.

Poster who is Wade’s high school coach posted this morning that he asked Wade’s parents and that his parents didn’t know anything about a new X-ray/broken foot.

Does Kstate have an X-ray machine?  They cost about $100,000.   I guess maybe one that all the sports teams can use?

the most optimistic take on this i can come up with it is this:
they are deemphasizing the B12 tourney for the real one, because they don't want to even come close to having dean play back-to-back the week before the NCAAs

oscar Weber loses Kansas State forward to season-ending injury before first practice
BY KELLIS ROBINETT SEPTEMBER 30, 2021 12:48 PM

The Kansas State men’s basketball team lost one of its players to a season-ending injury before the Wildcats held their first practice.

K-State coach oscar Weber has announced that Seryee Lewis suffered a torn ACL in preseason workouts and won’t be available for several months after going surgery to fix the injury last week.

“He had a severe injury this fall,” Weber said. “He had surgery 10 days ago and he’s going to miss the season.”
