I liked having a decent baseball team last year. Nice change.

It's fun because it doesn't hurt when you lose but you can still pop your collar about it in front of other teams fans.

True dat. I remember talking all kinds of trash on Rice, then losing and thinking, "Whatevs." Good times.
-
actually should be pretty good.
losing morris hurts, but we should have a pretty solid rotation.
nick "shaken, not stirred" martini will be a huge part of the offense.
-
Always fun to watch us beat WSU. They really don't like it when that happens. Baseball is their football.

Give me a prediction on our place in the conference final standings cas.
Baseball games are the best to get hammered at and then talk crap to opposing players/fans. You can sit right behind the dugouts.

well. the big 12 will be pretty solid this year no doubt. texas, a&m, mizzou, oklahoma, and okie state are always good. this season will serve as a sort of and indicator if we are here to stay in terms of going to the cws and stuff like that.
i would look at probably a solid 4th or 5th place finish in the conference. but i'm not overly confident because some of the new guys are pretty unproven.
-
Would be nice if we (Texas State) could get a series going with KSU. I'm tired of beating up Big Ten teams :users:
-
Actually went to a couple baseball games last year. It was kind of fun :bwpopcorn:

Long ways away still but we need to Katpak the crap out of that game. :combofan: <------- need one of these for baseball.

Had a decent pak last year for it. For Hillside High being what it is, they have a pretty great setup for baseball games. Love rolling in there with a cooler full of natural light.

So true, so true. Got plenty Pak'd and went to the OSU game 2 years ago on 25 cent hot dog night to practice my heckling. Ended up sitting right behind the pokes bench. They had a guy with a first name "Rebel" on the team, it was too easy... too easy

Enjoyed dominating the CTR in another sport.

They really hate losing to us in baseball, much, much more than they do in basketball.

But not as much football.

I hate the fact that Iowa State dropped baseball. Its sad driving by our (relatively new) baseball facilities and see them not being used, and slowly deteriorating.
Is your baseball team any good?

The former and I believe the last coach of the Iowa State baseball program coached and still coaches at Manhattan Christian College. He coached me my freshman year, he was 60 something, pretty sure he crapped his pants a lot and was suffering from acute senility.
