Probably not a great idea to have your first collegiate kick be from 51 yards.

Skyler is terrible
-
Just run the damn ball. We cannot pass worth a crap.
-
Barnes is the only above average talent on offense so it's encouraging that we started giving him bunches of carries
-
Skyler is terrible
-
You know it's bad when I'm given tickets at work and last night was unable to give them away at a bar in manhattan.... :'bye cruel world:
-
Skyler is terrible
I have it on good authority that he will play in the NFL one day.
-
He finally throws a heater that actually leads his receiver (Isaiah Harris). Harris was brought down basically at the line of scrimmage because Skyler let him straight into the back of his blocking receiver.
-
Sky’s the limit. How true that is. Oh and all the other things wrong.
-
I find it extremely hard to not throw my phone in frustration over this individual.

The commentators on this game are hilarious.
“Just didn’t have the arm strength for that one.”

LOL

lol :ksu:

Man that was a really good lawl
-
NFL level QBIQ
-
skyler has zero awareness at all
-
Good grief.

"coleman is calling a great game today"...3 points
maybe he is though and skylar is just sucking hard.
-
Just dropping by to call Skylar a loser. He may be the dumbest QB I've ever seen play. It's either that, or he's actively making terrible decisions just to spite Bill. Either way, eff him and I hope he transfers to some small no name college.
-
Do we miss dimel yet?
-
we might win :frown:
we could have been 5-2 this year. but as we know by now, snyder's w-l records are scams.

We really need to score on this drive here.

Very encouraging to see this. It's been a while since we did something like that. Cats are looking like we hoped they would.

Yes the oline is finally performing

Oklahoma State may be the second worst team in the Big 12.

:impatient:
Get this over.

It's nice seeing the boys rolling to the purple and smiling again.

Can’t remember a bigger swing from LOLZ to

Nothing about that game changed my opinion on Sky. He's awful. Barnes, Risner and the defense won that game, in spite of his awfulness.
-
You’re a serious dumbass. Our receivers can’t create separation. Many drops from the receiving core and he did a hell of a job running the ball today. Your low fbiq is showing.

Yes Barnes did a hell of a job carrying the offense to a victory today. I agree.
-
Thompson ran for 80 yards today and kept many drives alive with his legs.

Oh I agree 100%. Did any of those runs result in TD’s?
-
Yes. By keeping the offense on the field and extending drives. We have crap receivers and had a ton of dropped passes today. 2 of our white receivers are shitty walk ons for Christ sakes.

Oh? I seem to have missed the actual TD. Yeah, third down conversions help, but I asked specially about TD’s.
So, all the throws behind the receivers and such are their fault?
-
That legit happened like twice.

Did you watch the game? Sky is Snyder’s highest rated QB recruit since ELL. He was a baller last year because Dimel utilized greatly. Our receivers can’t create separation so he holds on to the ball long at times. If you’re rooting for the kid to fail, fine. But the shitty coordinator calls are not on him. He threw a few dimes today and unfortunately Warmack dropped a TD pass. He’s got the intangibles to be great. Just sucks that we couldn’t recruit him playmakers.

You want him to be good so bad, which is weird because he doesn't appear to give a crap about K-State at all. I haven't seen or heard anything from him that makes me think he even gives a damn about the team. He's a loser, he seems stupid, and he's awful. It's bizarre that you're defending him so much.

Let me gues mixberry, you were a Sams guy. I root for him because I can’t recall that young of a QB in the Snyder era who sacked up and won big games at Oklahoma St and can’t recall a walk off win in K-State football like he did last year vs ISU. He’s good and the coordinators have set him up to fail this year.
-
Oklahoma State may be the second worst team in the Big 12.
They're dog crap. They remind me of that ku team mangino's last year that lost 7 straight. Look at their schedule the rest of the season, they're done unless Gundy changes the QB and they fire their DC.
-
Skylar ran the ball well but he continues to under throw every ball that travels farther than 15 yards. He also is never ever ever comfortable in the pocket and that's not the o-line's fault. I think these issues are related because he doesn't step up in the pocket to buy time nor does he step into his throws.
He might be the most talented QB in Kansas State history, I'm not knowledgeable enough to determine potential, but his right now, as a passer, is well below average.

Pocket comfort/avoiding sacks is a talent, and he's terrible at it
-
right now i'd rate him above meier/webb, i'd say equal to coffman. which is disappointing, since he had the best ksu freshman qb year ever.
wonder what happened. maybe he got too cocky.
-
He was horribly inaccurate in the 1st half (I don't recall any egregious drops either), and much better in the second half. He does hold the ball too long bc he's afraid to throw a pick.
-
I'm a Skylar fan but he could take some notes from Northwestern's QB on their last-drive in regulation against Nebraska re: pocket-presence and foot work. Then again my FBIQ is extremely low.

you watch any decent QB and they do this - always moving just enough to get the pass off. We either don't prepare our QB's for this (likely) or Skylar just doesn't have good instinct (also likely, but possibly correctable with proper coaching)

Playing for Snyder, he'd better be if he doesn't want to get yanked from the game and be exiled to Weskan.

Interesting you bring that QB up, I didn't see a second of that game but I did see the highlights and what stuck out to me about Thorson is his ability/willingness to put touch on the ball. Skylar only throws the fastball, this is readily apparent on crossing routes.

3/4 of his incompletions hit the receivers hands. Receivers that were well covered at that. It’s sad many can’t see this.

I didn't see many catchable passes that "hit hands"
-
You were watching a different game then. They were steamy passes, but they hit their hands.

Some did hit receivers. And there is no doubt that he only seems to throw a fastball, which can handcuff the receivers in certain situations.
It is frustrating to watch.

I watched on tv, and I honestly can't think of a throw that the receiver got a hand on that I thought should have been caught that wasnt caught. He had one to zuber and reuter on slants that about 3 yards behind them, and one where warmack was wide open that would have been an amazing catch.
In fact, harris and barnes each had really nice one handed catches.
He was extremely precise in the 2nd half, and wildly inaccurate in the 1st half. He had a nice thrownto harris on a td, but harris got held and they didn't call it.
-
Do you understand football? If a ball hits a receivers hands, they should catch it, if they’re semi adequate.

To be fair, FSD still thinks the #1 offense in the NFL has a shitty line. #Chiefs

I said he played bad in the 1st half. He was 4-14 for like 29 yards, and took a sack with no TOs when we were in FG range. I don't know how you can take issue with that comment, and it's the least critical thing anyone said about Sky itt.
WTF is your problem?
-
Sky was 7-8 in the 2nd half for 100 yards. That was good. :Woot:
