Title: Best Brewdogs for Cold
Post by: CHONGS on October 12, 2018, 04:32:08 PM
Well it's a wintry mix outside Chingon City.  What kinds of brews go good with the cold?  Hoppy? Sloppy? Pale? In Dale?

I am not an expert!

That caveat aside, I think my favorite is Tank 7 (big bottles) or Guinness on tap at an irish pub or somewhere were it would be a decent pour.

Went with a pumpkin ale.  The place I went never heard of a "porter" I think you guys made that up.

Pumpkin Ales are the only type of beer I hate.  The only one I've had is Schafly's or whatever it's called and it made me want to blow chunks and barf.   Chingon, have you tried Miller High Life?  It's a great cold weather beer.  Also great for medium weather and hot weather.

Chingon, try Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA.  It's very sweet for an IPA, almost spicy like a fall-y type beer, also a little boozy at 9% ABV.  I've had 3 of them tonight and also a New Belgium Tartastic which is more like gross-tastic.

You know what the perfect fall beer is?  One that is cold and within reach.  /thread

I usually go for the hoppy beers (pretty typical white guy), but I still love a good malty beer this time of year.  I'll go Oktoberfest and mix in a few seasonal warmers, but my absolute go-to when it gets cold is still an IPA: https://sierranevada.com/beer/seasonal/celebration-ipa
