I’m assuming that the main guy was framed and shouldn’t be in there, played by The Rock.Of course he was wrongly convinced, but he's played by Don Cheadle. Antagonist played by Martin Freeman.

I think there needs to be something in the prison that keeps the convicts from trying to just straight up escape. Maybe a gang boss killer locked in solitary that they're trying to get out or something.

there's a hurricane set to hit a supermax prison. professor nelson, played by jack black, designs a plan to put the supermax prison on a huge barge into the ocean and drive it out of the way of the hurricane. no one believes him that it will work so he summons his mentor, who is very well respected, his mentor is played by gary oldman. gary oldman convinces the goverment it's a good idea. denzel washington is the barge driver. the barge runs out of gas right before escaping the hurricane. clint black plays his ship hand who falls off of the barge and dies. diane lane flies a helicopter refueling vessel to the barge and loads it up with gas right before the hurricane hits the supermax. the prisoners all live and rejoice.
plot twist- diane lane has been compromised. her lover is an inmate in the supermax, his prison name is Violin and he's played by McConaughey. the gas she gave denzel actually isn't gas but actually a powerful explosive liquid that blows up and pushes the hurricane back at the prison and the supermax into the ocean. the supermax sinks with everyone inside of it.
diane lane's helicopter blows up too. but she already jumped out and is wearing her aqua lung. she has a spare aqua lung for violin. as she and Violin are swimming away, denzel sees them and uses his rope on his barge to tie them up and capture them.

It could be but is there some reason why they feel safer from those things inside the prison than outside of it where they also could loot/have their freedom? I think that once the guards leave, the prisoners would be out of there in about 2 hours.

here's another idea- it's a movie about a band of adventurous kids who take on the might of a property developing company which plans to destroy their home to build a country club. When the children discover an old pirate map in the attic, they follow it into an underground cavern in search of lost treasure but come up against plenty of dangerous obstacles along the way.
That movie 100% gets made. The 2nd movie is starts as a bit of a bummer, as the golf course gets made but it adds some new characters to the mix. It begins as a love story between an up and coming youngster caddy who just knocked up his girlfriend and needs to win the club tournament to get his college scholarship. He is very conscious of his working class roots in the high flying arena of the country club, but he overcomes many obstacles with the help of his mentor, a zen master trust fund burnout. There are also some zany minor characters like a new money rich Jewish person member at the WASPy old money ruling class country club and the pot smoking greenskeeper.

that's a perfect follow up and would do well. here's my suggestion for the third and last installment for this trilogy. the golfer from the second movie ends up becoming a famous golfer. he's good but kind of a jerk. there is a second main character who is younger and doesn't have everything together. all this second character ever wanted is to be a professional hockey player. But he soon discovers he may actually have a talent for playing an entirely different sport: golf. When his grandmother learns she is about to lose her home, he joins a golf tournament to try and win enough money to buy it for her. With his powerful driving skills and foulmouthed attitude, he becomes an unlikely golf hero -- much to the chagrin of the well-mannered golf professionals.

Fast forward to the late 90’s, and Hitler’s sperm is used to make a baby to a single mom in the ‘burbs in a boring place, like Ohio or Indiana or something.
This kid grows up to be a huge dorkstore, played by Michael Cera. He finds out that he’s Hitler’s son thanks to a nerdy fat friend (actor TBD) and thinks it’s his destiny to rule the world and finish what his dad started.
Thing is, he’s a huge nerd and can’t even get a girlfriend.

When the aliens arrive to apprehend the looney tunes, the crafty bugs bunny tricks the aliens into making a wager of it, and challenged the aliens to a golf match. The aliens agree, but then use their bizarre powers to steal the talent from some of the top golf pros on the tour. Bugs, in desperation, goes to our hero turned minor league baseball player to emplore him to play in their tournament and save them from being prisoners of the moron mountain amusement park. Our hero reluctantly agrees, only to find this ragtag bunch of looney tunes haven't even swung a golf club before... So to save the looney tunes, he'll have his work cut out for him!
