Title: A Real Post From a Real Bulldogs Fan
Post by: A Real Bulldogs Fan on July 31, 2018, 01:30:40 PM
First, I want to set the record straight here.  I know how easy it is these days to pretend to be something your not, but I want you Kansas State Wildcats fans to know that I am indeed a true Bulldogs fan from the great state of Mississippi.  I have lived in the Golden Triangle my whole life, born in Columbus, went to school in Starkville, and currently live back near Possum Town, so my credentials are legit. I know as our game approached, Ole Miss fans will sign up pretending to be Mississippi State fans and acting the general idiots that they are: talking trash, whatever else to make us look bad.

Second, I want to let you know that real Bulldogs fans are taking this game very seriously.  Don't let some knuckleheads fool you. Your head coach is well respected nationally and we know he will have your team prepared to fight.  You put the scare of God into Auburn a few years ago and you whupped up on Texas A&M in your bowl game so we know you can hang with our SEC talent.  This is a great early test for coach Moorhead.

Anyway, I noticed some other supposed Miss. State fans posting and I wanted to let ya'll know that real Bulldogs fans aren't here to talk trash.

LOL, but actually its Moorhead.  He was the O-Coordinator at Penn State before coming to Miss State.   We are hoping to actually have an explosive offense for once instead of the timid nonsense Mullen kept pushing out there.

The only thing I know about Miss St is that Will Clark is likely the worst human being to ever set foot on a baseball diamond.

I think it’s pretty cool The Blind Side was made about your school, it was a good movie.

Another sock. Even southerners aren't southern enough to actually call anything "Possum Town". OP sock trying too hard to appear like a hill billy.

Actually the Blind Side was about Ole Miss, but I think you knew that and are having some fun.

Red and Blue = Ole Miss
Maroon and White = Miss State

I literally know nothing of Mississippi State other than apparently they aren't allowed to play on tv.

A breakdown of your roster and expectations for the season would be appreciated. TIA

All our games are on ESPN family of networks, or CBS. Last year's games, are on YouTube, without commercials, as are KStates.

Soon as the official depth chart is released, I'll post it here, with comments.

From what I've read so far, we are 2 deep at QB, 4 deep at RB, 6 deep at DE, & 8 deep at DT.

Base D is 4-2-5

Think we will go 8 & 4.

I meant on live tv, not internet stream or replay.

KState plays on national tv every weekend, because we have so many fans all over the country that want to tune in, and pretty much all casual and serious cfb fans enjoy watching our brand of football.

I'll scroll through all the games on any given Saturday and I can't recall seeing miss state once.

KStates 1st game this year in on ESPN3; certainly NOT live TV.

Our last ESPN3 game was 2009, Vs. GaTech.

Our 1st game this year is on ESPNU (Live TV).

All of our games are on LIVE TV.

Keep in mind, I've had up to 8 TVs in my Den on game day; finally settled on 3-4, with 3 as being ideal.

Same experience here.  You'd never guess it watching a Miss St. game on TV, but if you're in Oxford I swear you gotta check it out.  The students and facilities all look top notch.  You'd think they'd be able to make it look less trashy on TV.

That is one thing we have in common.  The Grove and The Lot are 2 amazing game day experiences with beautiful people having fun in a bucolic setting

I see that your QB (16th), DT (29th) and DE (45th) received high praise in ESPN's Top 50 college players: http://goEMAW.com/forum/index.php?action=post;topic=40687.25;last_msg=1848280

It will be fun to see your DL and our OL challenge each other.  I am most worried about how our front seven on defense match your OL and QB/RB.  Our DL isn't overly athletic but has played a lot of snaps and our LBs are overly athletic but inexperienced.  I am hoping for a fun game that highlights the progress both schools have made on the gridiron over the last 10(ish) years.

What is the general Bulldog Nation’s opinion of Sherrill and Croom.  Sherrill had some
Nice years, but ended on a poor note (something I hope Snyder avoids).  Croom had a good team in 2007 but struggled otherwise.  Mullen was a heck of a hire in my opinion.

Stacking a working tube television sets on top of nonworking ones seems to be pretty common among old Miss fans.
