It's very difficult to play well and I've played volleyball for 20 years and spikeball for 3 years. It's like people have a mental block preventing them from playing the game properly.

I'm pretty decent at spike ball. Went two rounds deep into the 4 round tournament at intramurals this year. It's a rough learning curve. I had to play like each night for a week to be OK at it.
