When it's all said and done I believe that the WeberCats will reign supreme even if it is just for next year.
WSU is gonna be hawt garbage.
KU losing good talent also keeping some good talent.
KSU just signed a stud named Austin Trice. Mak is hitting the weights hard. BarrTrap staying, Dean staying, Kam hopefully turns himself around, Carti D playing like a stud. X crashing boards and killing it.
Guys we are returning everyone. It's gonna be crazy.

dude ku is easily gonna be preseason top-4 nationally

Ku Duke and Nova are the 3 top teams to start next season.
If Nova only loses Brunson & Bridges, then they would be my #1. Otherwise Ku likely #1. But that is just Pre-Season #1

This was before Newman and Vick declared. They’ll reload and probably win the Big 12 as usual, but not top 3. If Azubuike declares I really like our chances.

Bill Self is a god and as long as he coaches KU they will win the big 12. We will finish a close second and get a 4/5 seed.
-
It's hilarious that anyone thinks Ku is going to not win the conference. I don't know why you guys do this to yourselves every year.

yeah ku is going to be really really good next year
-
Unless we have one more splash recruit that can play next year, we will be league 4th at best. We all assume everyone will go through the year with no injuries or the hunger to do well. If Flush, Claws or Sneed gets hurt, we dung beetle material. I still worry about Oscar's coaching prowess. His record is one of peaks and valleys
-
It’s basketball dipshit not rugby.
-
I bet ku is about as good this year as it was last year. They'll be very beatable and won't have a guy who can gets buckets [most of the season] again. They'll rely heavily on suspect officiating to win the confy and coaches will continue to openly complain.

Wade, out of commission with a foot injury dang near 8 weeks when all said and done.
Diarra out a whole year with a knee injury.
Stokes out for weeks with injury, and not effective on his retrun.
Love out a whole year with an injured foot.
Shadd out most of the last half the year due to injury.
Brown's eye could have been seriously injured
DJamer was hurt for a year, and part time thereafter.
How many guys have worn the BOOT?
We have the depth to withstand injury to the guards, but upfront not so much. I just want to see more depth in the non-guard players. KU and WVU have reloaded. There is always one suprise team in the Big 12. So have we done enough to improve? We have a good start, but not enough to blow off how great we are going to be next year.

I hate what oscar has done to Reno. Its tragic.

We also won the conference six years ago and with a team none of us considered to have a chance before the season started.

I just refuse to blow wallies in a beserk horny lust fit over a beautiful one time thing. I want true, exhilarating, and lasting love for the CatBallers. Year end and year out. I think Oscar Inc. could build something substainable. I am a greedy bastard.. I want more. I want better. I want us to kick Jaybird in the chickadees every time, and jam their crooked refs up Hooterville Bill's glory hole. We will do it next year. If we sign Moyer we are on the way to a very good run, at least 3 years. Throw in another stud recruit..... i would engage in hand to hand combat with Willie Weasel.

True, and if memory serves I believe a 16 seed beat a 1 seed in the tournament this year. So yeah given a long enough time span these sorts of things are bound to happen from time to time but I wouldn't pin my hopes on it

Look at it this way. I'll pin my hopes on it and be excited about our chances every day til we are mathmatically out of the race. Its a fun way to go about being a Cat fan.

I'm in the same mindset, of course KU is the front runner but that doesn't mean that any team can't end it. Tech almost did this year, so why not us?

Tech ended 2 games behind ku. They ended just 3 games above a wednesday slot.
-
@Trim but they were the closest team right?

West Virginia had the same record and distances. Closer to home, KSU was 3 games from a 1st place tie and 2 games from a Wednesday slot.

Interesting comma placement, I am intrigued
-
KU should be fine with or, without him.

If Doke does leave then they will have a 4 star 6-9 center to come in and replace him.
