Greetings fellow Millenial Youngsters! I am Kat Kid, goEMAW's Youth Outreach Coordinator!

We have received some feedback regarding our blog community. I wanted to address the concerns, and reassure everyone:

One thing that we want to direct your attention to is our ksufans.com archive and search features. We look at this blog as a community, but also like a written record of K-State fandom. Much like the walls adorned with the scrawled likeness of a a buffalo and a lion in Lascaux cave, it can be jolting to descend in to the darkness of the bbs and to truly understand the art and form of things when your eyes have only seen the workings of things above ground. So get out your spelunking tools and grab a miner’s helmet and get all up in dat ass! LOL!

A second issue that we’ve noticed is that there are bad posters posting too much.

Another issue that we have come across is that the good posters aren’t posting as much any more. Not sure if this is related, but it should require some further study.

Our recommendation for right now, is to read through your own posts and do a self-evaluation. We will be collecting these self-evaluations and then doing a random sampling with our audit team to do some scoring to determine which quartile of posters you are in and then making individual recommendations.
We also reserve the right to “call out” shitty posters and use “dank memes” like “WHAT ARE THOSE?!” to discourage you from posting, to “OWN YOU” and “for the lulz”

If somebody makes some reference to something you don’t know about, ignore the eff out of it, make up your own terms that he doesn’t know about (and know deep inside it’s bothering them that they don’t know what you are talking about, if I see this happening I will act like I know what you mean and throw in a :lol:). Proceed as if you are the new guy in prison, never show weakness!

Some of the posters you will be dealing with are really old, like old enough to be your Dad. If they have moderator in their avatar they are probably really old, these dudes voices had changed when Stan Parrish was our football coach. Most of us younger dudes just ignore them.

goEMAW is the great American novel. Some will read it cover to cover, some will read SparkNotes, some will pretend they've read it to impress other people.

A poster named Spracne will posy on the board from time to time, take his comments to heart. He is by far the most important poster at gE and is what truely keeps this board flowing with new content.
Secondly, oscar Weber is a saint sent by God himself to deliver K-State basketball to the promised land so make sure when anyone says something negative about him that you try to fight them and stand up for Oscar like the true K-Stater you are!
Also, speaking of good posters not posting... is CC dead? I enjoy when he posts... typically the AD's office is lighting a dumpster fire or we are building something new when he posts. East side facade coming any time soon? South side maybe?

Guys I’m afraid I’m too old now.. sister in law brought her bf back from Colorado.. very nice guy but he used the word dank like 5 times and not referencing marijuana. He was talking about things like arrows coffee and what not. But when dank came out of his mouth it was just weird like someone saying eff in church. He’s probably 4-5 years younger than me.. have I lost it?? Or is dank just a stupid ass word

If the students have any questions about what they read in the archives just ask them in this thread. For instance, in one thread I discuss my Kodak digital camera I bought for $137. If you don't know what a digital camera is, it's basically a smartphone that just take pictures. Only worse.
