The NCAA doesn’t really care about the athletes, students, or the schools.  They just care about capitalizing on the money generated from the athletes at the schools and making sure the athletes and schools don’t cut into their own profits.

I am waiting for the first coach to stand up and say "Yes, I know exactly what he did, and I still wanted him on my team."  'Cause the entire world knows that's exactly what happened.  I'd just love to see one admit it.

My dream situation is that it happens someplace in the south, and they basically just say "so what, more wins."

To be clear, I don't condone it or whatever.  I'm just a fan of the purging of it, which I personally believe requires this sort of sunlight.

cannot is the correct word choice
he has the answers to the questions he’s being asked but cannot bring himself to face the reality of the situation and isn’t man enough to either.  it’s rough ridin' embarrassingly sad.

The thinking is that these coaches don't want to "ruin a guys life for a mistake." The mistake is that they don't consider that the victim's life is already ruined because we as a society don't place equal value on women. Yes, it's also pretty easy to see what Izzo did wrong and point fingers and castigate. The situation is more like a kid rough ridin' up and a parent knowing about it before anyone else does, of course the right thing for the parent to do is to turn their kid in, will it happen, who knows?

Izzo screwed up, big time, there's no getting around it. Izzo has a boss, the police and the district attorney also knew about this crap, it's their job to handle this. Izzo should have gotten rid of Appling, Walton, and Payne; but there were so many more significant people who failed the women of Michigan State and East Lansing.

I'm out of the loop a bit on this whole thing, but when are the principal bulk of these charges/allegations happening? If it's 95-99, then yeah, Saban could be effed.
