I went to bed early after eating a supper of Mexican delights and refried beans, didn't feel good.  I though was at peace knowing my legislators in DC would get the job done so the world wouldn't end.  All nite there was a war happening in my guts; surely the beans, but more likely a gnawing subconscience fear the DC boy-gals would fail.  I woke to take an Obama, turned on the phone, read DC failed humanity, and I sniffled.  My guts said go to the toilet, press on or crap your gruns.  To my suprise the lights worked, the heat was on, the toilet flushed, bless the Lord, America can function without DC.

I blame the whole bunch.  A bunch of kindergartners can cooperate better than they can.  Don’t blame Trump he cannot not pass a dang thing.  These stupid bastard in Congress are like a bunch of dimwits who have knife fight while in a rubber life that is in the ocean in shark infested waters.

It sucks that we can get attacked any minute and our military can’t do anything now thanks to stupid Democrats. Completely defenseless.

I don't blame Trump he can't make up his own laws like Obama.

Illegal freeloaders who snuck into America are more important than everything else.  These aren't kids anymore, not citizens, and must be proceased to be CITIZENS.

Killing millions of unborn citizens in okay to the Demoncrats though.

Kid shaves the cat.  Puts Justin Bieber stickers on it.  Gets in trouble.  So he blames the parents for giving him the cat. Just not going to fly with parents.

Inept Congress that is dysfunctional is blaming Trump for giving them the cat.  I am amazed at constitutional illiterate who blame Trump.  He can't pass a bill.  Pass a measure and put it on his desk.  If he rejects it, then he can be blamed.

the constituency of people that just want govts to run and parties to cooperate and don't give a crap about immigration policy is much smaller than the constituencies that want to eff the pubtards or libtards.

Senate Dems cave, will "reopen" and fund the government for a few more weeks in exchange for a promise to continue debating immigration. Hopefully this political shutdown blunder will encourage them to be a bit more reasonable in negotiating amnesty for border enforcement. Probably wishful thinking.

I guess the "shutdown" was probably good for their activists and fundraising. That's the only explanation I can come up with. The fact that they folded after 3 days indicates they knew they were going to get hammered for demanding amnesty in exchange for funding the gov.

The deal maker really showed up....you Trump voters Pat yourselves on the back!

Sometimes being a deal maker means saying “no deal” - like when Senate Dems demand an unrelated amnesty for illegal immigrants in exchange for funding the gov.

The “deal” is actually pretty easy, or it would be if Dems (and some Pubs) weren’t so heavily invested in keeping our borders open to illegal immigration.

Pretty sure everyone would be on board with a border wall if Trump kept his campaign promise that the American taxpayers would not be footing the bill.

so trump told the senate to make a deal and he'd sign it. so they did and then he backed out. then he invited the shumer guy or whatever to the white house to try and strike a deal and they apparently did and then trump backed out again. so now the senate has to just all agree that trump is a bumbling bafoon, agree to something super short term and then get together yet again to hatch out a deal that he will agree to a third time but then actually sign off on this time. is that where we're at?

No, that's not where we're at. The "Senate" didn't make a deal. It was just the Dems and two GOP Senators (Flake and Lindsey Grahamnesty, who already agree with the Dems on unconditional amnesty, hence ol' Lindsey's nickname). That proposal never had a chance of passing the Senate, let alone the House. The minute Durbin and Grahamnesty met in the Oval Office with Trump and other Pub senators like Tom Cotton, who is more in line with the rest of the GOP on border enforcement, it quickly became apparent that there would be no deal under the Durbin/Grahamnesty terms. That's when Durbin decided to change tactics and blow everything up by leaking the "shithole" comment.

So now the Pubs and Dems are attempting to reach a compromise deal of DACA amnesty for stronger border enforcement, including wall funding, and limiting the visa lottery and chain immigration - a deal that could actually pass muster with House and Senate Pubs. That deal is unlikely to happen, because Dem donors are really, really, really opposed to actually reducing illegal immigration, and they'd rather wait until after the 2018 midterms when they think they'll be stronger and might retake the House. So it's probably gonna be a string of funding continuing resolutions and finger pointing until November. Oh boy.
