Just how badly are cities like Lawrence dragging down the State of Kansas?

Can you imagine having to get into a car and drive an hour or more to catch a flight on a major airline?

the national reputation of Lawrence being known as a shithole doesn't help, that's for sure

If I know Lawrence like I think I do, evolving their brand is #1 daily goal. Especially if you look down the street at their University. Renovating to keep up has always been a major goal of theirs. I believe they can do this. Especially with that endowment.  :love:

I see people on social media talking about how great Lawrence is and referring to it as a great tourist destination. It is usually hashtagged with LFK somewhere. Is that not the Lawrence commercial airport IATA?

OTOH, Lawrence (KU people) literally brow beat people into saying LFK is a great place.  It's really shameful and a bit unnerving.
