But since KSO seems to be the only media outlet claiming a meeting to take place gives me reasons to question the accuracy. I would think calling everyone back for a meeting would be news. It's not like the Manhattan media is inundated by topics to cover.

My guess is the most amazing scooper in K-State history, Riley Gates, is sitting in the meeting with Snyder and the crew and has known about it even before Snyder thought about calling the meeting. When someone here at GE finds out the details, Riley will make sure to let everyone know that he already knew everything and he was sitting on it to protect his sources (AKA LHC LHC Bill Snyder himself).

No, he didn't start it, but confirmed he had heard there were conversations when people wanted his opinion.
TX is plugged in with Bill and his support staff. He was the first on any board to say he was told Bill is retiring the first time. His info is legit.
