Sister in law is a software tester,
She swears that the app is a gold mine for data on how to handle that many people accessing that type of platform at the same time. Especially doing it live.

They aren't making any money right now and that's on purpose, once everyone is hooked they will integrate sponsorships into it. The holding company of Trivia HQ got multiple millions in venture capital funding so that's where the initial payouts stem from. I suppose they could be data mining the existing users and selling that already.

no idea how this works but my sister in law was saying that the data that they collect when they are live/having bugs and issues along with fixes is extremely valuable to people who do the work that she does.
She thinks that they are probably working with software developers collecting and selling data from their live streams.

I honestly hadn't considered it until I read an article about it but a lot of media people think this format will essentially start to replace TV shows. Something called cheddar is out and does something similar with news stuff I guess.

I'm having an issue with the host buffering or stopping altogether, but the questions still pop up when they are supposed to.
I made it to round 7 tonight then missed the last five questions. The winners tonight got like $3.50 each after the winners this afternoon got $666.
