Title: The left, the right, and the malleable middle
Post by: gatoveintisiete on October 25, 2017, 07:55:38 PM
So you are not going to change my mind politically, and I’m not going to change most of yours on the left.
That leaves the sitcom watching simple minded Loser Americans that make up the malleable middle that decide our elections.  These people don’t care much about politics, they look at elections like a overhyped American idol finale.  Bottom line if you want to win all you have to be is the more charismatic likeable candidate of the two.

Ford v. Carter.  Carter by a nose
Carter v Reagan.  Blowout
Mondale v Reagan  landslide
Dukakis v Bush.  Bush barely
Bush v Clinton.    It wasn’t about read my lips
Dole v Clinton.     Good grief pubs
Gore v Bush.        Good grief crats
Kerry v Bush.    Guys it wouldn’t have taken much
McCain v Obama.   Whatta effing loser, he chose Palin FFS
Romney v Obama.   Enough with the dorks
Clinton v Trump.     Hill was very cool and charismatic but c’mon she drew the ultimate alpha.

I think Hillary was the only candidate the Dems could have put up that would have lost to Trump. She is as far from charismatic as you can get.

Shouldn’t the next ‘crat up be putting together a book and grabbing some headlines by now?

Who do you think is next?  Post it here and I’ll tell you if he or she is cool enough to beat the Silverback

(I am the only poster to correctly predict every election since Carter)

This is disappointing. I like all the videos my lib friends post on fb that involve her. I'll look for another candidate. Thanks for your time.

I feel like it's more likely that Trump doesn't run in the general than that any Democrat defeats him.

Possible, he only promised to make America great again he didn’t state how long it would take

I like her alright, she wears a D on her jersey but speaks fluent ‘pub sometimes, seems like a gal without a party tho.  Didn’t see enough to make a call on charisma yet, leaning towards no.

Off topic, but what's with liberals making communist agitprop posters of their candidates? Started with Obama, and I think there's another thread devoted to that. I've seen a few Trump ones, too, but those were parodies of the Obama posters. Seriously, guys, anyone who is politically aware knows that most liberals are closet Marxists/Maoists, but you should keep that crap in the closet. What does it say that these damned kids these days actually think communism is cool?

If you already understand that the Trump ones are ok because they are parodies, then I don't think I can do anything to help you understand why the Obama/Hillary ones are ok.

If most liberals were marxists then there wouldn't be a reason to be closeted about it.
