i think he slowed up to try and hold the defender off the ball with the plan of accelerating at the last second and being able to catch it without the defender knocking it away, but then the ball went farther than he thought and he looked like a fool.

Between the few snaps I have seen, the posts here and on BotC it seems the 3 hr game delay is a good thing (for me). Hereing kids at my 5 yr olds birthday at Chucky Cheese is more fun than watchin the game already.

The defense has really played pretty decent but my god this telegraphing the blitz and letting the offense check into plays that always work against it seems crazy. Got lucky on those drops.

Only the 55-0 shut out to OU in 15 and the 17-3 loss to NU in 09 are worse offensive performances in Snyder 2.0.

Plus we've had the Vandy game, which had similar offensive numbers. No excuse for 2 of the 4 worst offensive games during Snyder 2.0 to happen with this much returning. Even with Ertz out, plus Vandy is a dreadful team.

This is where I'm at. I watched the Texas-OU game and Astros-Yanks game, didn't even bother following the rest of the Cats game after it resumed. :frown:

Post game presser was awful. Even Bill made a comment about how short it was after the reporters had no more questions for him. This was shortly after he responded to a question on if he considered using Thompson with a curt "No" followed by a standoffish look away. Even the press is completely apathetic and resigned to this stuff from him and the program.

Things that pissed me off today:
1. After forcing a punt in the second quarter, we nearly block it, and the punt was poor because of a strong wind. The next time we force a punt, we trot two return men out there again. Why not load up everyone on the line and go for the block? We nearly blocked it again. If two more people are rushing in, maybe we get it. We needed a special team score to even have a remote chance of winning. Yet, we still sent two return guys out when we knew the punt would be unreturnable because it would likely be short due to the wind.
2. Punting at the end of the first half with 43 seconds left. We were on the 43, with the wind at our back. We have a kicker who can kick a 60 yard FG without the wind, yet we punt. Again....everyone knew the offense wasn't going to win this game for us. Why not try the FG. If we miss, yeah they get the ball at mid field. Who cares.
3. This has been discussed, but the 4th and 1/2 a yard play from shot gun. Maddening. :bang: I hate backing up 4 yards from the line when all you need is less than 1. Drives me crazy.
4. Not giving Thompson a snap. I'm 99% certain that he wouldn't have made one bit of difference in this game, but give him some reps.
5. Facing a 5-7 / 6-6 record in the face. This season is in the crapper. It sucks. :flush:

They are migrating south for the winter, they seemed to come with the rain, completely gone in the sun. My only guess is that they were moving with/against the weather system.

The twin tower Memorial light spires attract millions of birds, they can see them on radar way up in the light.

I weirdly must have all but blocked that 55-0 game out of my mind. I know it happened, and I know I watched it, but I don't remember a single thing about it except for the score. So I did some Googling, and, well, not that this is a surprise, but Dimel's offensive gameplanning has been the subject of ridicule for quite a while now.
It was a nightmare performance, but Snyder took responsibility. Oklahoma’s defense entered the game ranked 95th nationally against the run, allowing an average of more than 190 rushing yards. Texas hammered OU on the ground. Many expected K-State to exploit the same weakness. Instead, it tried to throw on its first six plays.
“I am not a game planner, but if you saw the game last week I would have run the ball,” OU defensive end Matt Dimon said. “That is what we thought they were going to do, but they came out slinging it, they had the wind. I didn’t get a run block until the eighth or ninth play. It was surprising, but I’ll take what they give us.”
K-State went three-and-out on its first two drives and trailed 14-0 before it attempted a run.
“That is what the coaches thought we could do,” Snyder said. “So that is what we tried to do.”

I believe that this season is what you will get from a Sean Snyder coached team. I wanted to give Sean a chance, and I think we have.
I believe Sean ran things in the off season and early regular season while his Dad was in cancer treatment and recovering, and we would be dumb to believe otherwise, and that means Sean had his shot. He had a shot with a VERY experienced staff, and team that everyone thought had enough parts to win.
Are we to expect BETTER results if Sean has a less experienced staff and different under-recruited players in the future? I just don’t see it.
I think what you get from Sean is a very Iowa-Statey type team that gives nice tuck quotes and try hard chart gold stars.
Give your money to the engineering department, guys. Football is joining basketball as a waste of time and money.

Don't confuse rules of rhe game with stats guidelines. There are probably better rules guys on here. I actually have a hard copy of this stat manual because... I am a dork.
