This is bananas. One of Weber's guys will be the first K-State'r drafted since Beasley. Happy for Westicles. Looking forward to watching it tonight.
-
I'm happy for him too. I remember people talking about how Wes had no chance in hell.
-
It's insane. He played HS ball with the Harrison twins and was their 3rd option. What a true DITR.

Bill Walker was also taken in that draft, but yeah, 9 years is a long time.
Really happy for Wes. I remember hearing rumblings of him as a draft prospect when he was a freshman. It's great that he's reaching his potential, especially considering all of the #adversity he had to endure over the past 3 years.
Prediction: #41 to Atlanta
-
Yeah, wasn't that the same draft? I think Wes going in the first round. A lot of mock drafts have it, but it's very unpredictable.

oscar should recruit more third option to Kentucky players.
-
I've also heard some first round chatter. I'm thinking it will be second round. I'll be over the moon for a first round selection. I'm also hoping LA takes Fox over Ball. I'd like to see what he can do at a storied franchise that is going to work on getting championships.
-

Mocks have him everywhere from 28 to 55.
I could also see him going to Utah or Orlando. He worked out for both and they each have 3 picks between #23-#42.
-
Predicto: 76ers draft Wes at 46, sign him to a 2 way contract and he plays next year with the Delaware 87ers.
-
I think we'll be calling Wes MR Hollywood soon.
-
Wes' height, standing reach, wingspan, and body fat are best among guards.
Lowest body fat of anyone at combine.
I think he can become a great reserve on a good team.
-
Can't wait to watch all of these Cats get drafted tonight
-
would be hot if he got on philly. all that length  (all homo)
-
Josh Jackson? Alpha Male? Hmm
-
I like Fox a lot.
-
I do too. I'm excited to see him in the league.
-
When Josh Jackson got drafted Mrs. Wacky shuttered. She's not a fan of POS wannabe women abusers. I mean, she's a hawk too. She just thinks he would have made things worse if she didn't lock the car while he was beating it. :frown:
-
Have college teammates ever been drafted to the same NBA team?

Automatic locks save lives.
also when does the Westicles watch begin? 15 more picks?
I'd say around there. Yay Monk!
-
Late 20's-40 from what I've seen. I think the Lakers get him.
-
Wesley!
-
eff! Yeah!
-
Of course you didn't Jay. You fucko.
-
Its kinda making sense why we never do anything in the tourney when we go 9 years between draft picks
-

I want an old school Magic jersey now, like an old Anfernee Hardaway one.

Penny was my favorite when I was a youngster.
-
oscar is pumping out NBA talent, recruiting is going to get a huge boost.
-
Hard to get back to last year's heights when you've lost a pick like that
-
If I'm a three star from Houston I'm beating down oscar's door until I get an offer
-
Rebuilding seasons coming up.
-
Or should I say reloading?!?! :ksu:
-
won't even have to change out of his ksu blacks, was worried he'd slip to sacramento and rep our secondary colors

D.J. signed with a Greek team (basketball)
-
oscar is finding talent. Inwundu is killing it right now. He'll play in the league before a pullen. :surprised:

What's your point?
-
That we'll have our first drafted player in the league since 2008. :dunno:

I'm trying to figure out why you mentioned Pullen. I mean there is zero doubt as to who the best player is so I'm struggling to understand your point.
-
I think MiR is saying he wished oscar would recruit less nba talent and more good college bball players, bc that's what frank did.

That the NBA values Wesley's size more :dunno:
That's definitely not what his point was
-
i would certainly be game for more good college basketball players on our college basketball team
-
I hope that with good coaching Wes is able to be very successful in the NBA
-
I just find it crazy how the NBA works, MIR. There's no hidden agenda behind the comment. Size and potential is always valued more than being a pure scorer who's undersized.

Westicles 3 years/4.1 mil, first two years guaranteed, third year team option.
-
Will become to richest KSU cat nbaer.
-
I think Beasley has made 30 million so that seems like a pretty high bar
-
I guess oscar was wrong when he said we didn't have any NBAers on the team last year.
-

See you in 4 years.
-
can't help but add the obvious kudos to coach weber for developing wes's talents. wes is a great young man. i'm sure his 'attitude' was helpful. professional teams are growing weary of dummies.

Richmond made $52.6, if he played now it would probably be 300+. Beasley is at $35

Never heard of this Richmond guy but I'll take your word for it.

Bob's something else on there. He played along with me for quite a while but bounced when he knew we were an exchange away from blatant lawn orgy talk.

At least you got him on record that this year is Big 12 final 4 or bust.
-
Wes in the NBA validates Oscar is a great coach.
-
Or he is a crap coach that can't win with NBA talent?
-
Or he is a crap coach that can't win with NBA talent?
went to a national championship game with a boat load of NBA talent
-
Won a big 12 title with McGruder

Always surprises me when I see we are tied with Kansas for the 3rd most overall #1 NBA draft picks in history.

And Beas went #2, damn.

If you were to re-draft the 1988 class Mitch Richmond would have been the #1 overall pick instead of #5
-

No kidding - he's the only hall of famer from that entire draft class. Only 8 draft classes from 1950-90 had less than 2 hall of famers.

That's pretty wild, you would think all those classes in the 80s and early 90s would be stacked.
-
Lots of fun names on this list. I think Squawk manning would be hof, but had oden knee.
