A wound in Catland has been festering since Martin was canned and replaced by Oscar.  A big bag of pus is growing in the wound.  It will explode if not lanced.   When will it happen?  Likely soon.  You ain't lived until you have tried to drag a wounded calf or lamb to the barn, and you pull off the infected leg ... the smell of pus really never goes away.  Please don't let this happen to KSU basketball.

The longer you let it fester, the harder it is to recover.

Real question is do we man up and rip the festering leg off?  Or, do we bring in some maggots to clean up the pus and keep hobbling along with a wounded leg.

Can the Clowder cope with oscar retained?
Maybe he just dries up, like a smelly turd.
Or a talisman turns him to a rainbird,
And beats his wings back whence he came.
Après King oscar, le deluge reigns.

II.

I saw a turtle in Tuttle spill over the dam
And thought, Old Randolph knows the stakes.
Manhattan defenseless in oscar's wake.
Will fate's cruel cudgel leave us hexed?

Just spent the last half-hour watching vets on youtube draining infections from cattle, and I feel renewed.

I don't think I can stand maggots for another year.  I'll hold out for the pus bag to rupture.
