Can decide how I feel about there sentences. Part of me is glad that they are getting lengthy terms. But part of me feels it may be too long of sentences.

glad the article clarifies the situation
seems to be potential for a lot of content for this particular thread

Should I change the title? I'm open to ideas.

What kind of self respecting white supremacist group allows someone named Jose Torres in?

Those are your new neighbors Batt BcKee. Congrats.

I'd recommend staying away from Baxley, GA. And a construction crew named CAB.

The same one that allowed George Zimmerman in

Well, that seems to be quite a drive from Savannah. I'm sure there are no racists in Savannah.

TRUMP! :curse:

I think the sentence seems about right for the guy who pointed the shotgun at the kids. I think the lady who loaded the gun for her boyfriend probably got too much time.

I can agree with that. I also thing it was a hefty sentence to deter crap like that again. I wish I knew what set them off. The victims were quite understanding and fought hate with love.

This was a true hate crime and I think they got what they deserve. We need to be careful not to dilute the meaning of "hate" any further than it already has.

Seems to run over free.speech even if it is.despicable. This.is.a slippery slop to get started down. Some people.are offended easily. So if someone says.something that they deem offensive, can the loud mouth moron be sent to jail? Is this applicable to the rabble rousers who yell hate and.profanities at white conservatives? I know I.am missing something.
-
Threatening someone, weapon or not, is NOT free speech.

On this one I am definitely a stooped moron. Didn't read about shotgun threat.
-
First of all, they were punished for conduct--not speech. Secondly, the speech that occurred is likely "fighting words" and thus not protected by the First Amendment.
-
actions not words?
-
Yeah, "hate speech," as such, may only be constitutionally proscribed to the extent that it fits the definition of "fighting words," as the courts have construed the latter to mean. I'm referring to American courts. Totally different ballgame in Euro countries like Germany. Source: Currently writing a student note on just this subject.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge, Spracne.
