Title: BFD(Breakfast for dinner)
Post by: The Big Train on February 07, 2017, 06:23:38 PM
Isn't it delicious you guys!?  I just had a big breakfast burrito with refried black beans, eggs, onion, Colby/Monterey jack cheese, sour cream, salsa, and green cholula sauce stuffed in a big flour tortilla.

Also made maple bacon and diced hash brown potatoes to go along with it.  :lick:

Tuesday night is usually my go too after having leftover bacon to cook from saturday and sunday morning breakfast

Tuesday night is usually my go too after having leftover bacon to cook from saturday and sunday morning breakfast

i open my bacon on thursday, finish it on sunday.  started doing it when survivor's weekly tribal council episode would be on thursday nights
my "go-to" is 5-6 slices of bacon, hash browns, 3-5 eggs (3 over medium or 5 scrambled), 2 slices of the toast and a very large glass of milk

sit down with that and watch some tribal council and know the the weekend was effectively started

i love it.  absolutely love it.  BAC rolls in here and names something that he never has for breakfast, breakfast.
lmao that's just not how it works.

i think i've eaten one pancake in my entire life and that was when i was about 2 months old.  if i had a pancake for dinner tonight, that doesn't mean i'm eating breakfast for dinner, because i don't eat pancakes for breakfast.

did i ever tell you about refried beans?  down in jalisco they eat refried beans 24/7, breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
let's say i have some refried beans with my monterrey burrito for dinner, am i eating breakfast for dinner, dinner for lunch, lunch for breakfast?  i mean, look, to qualify as brinner, it really needs to be brinner is the basic non-complicated rule here folks.

i do like a mean ribeye though, i bet it was delicious.

They're smashed, so the banana flavor is pretty uniform throughout the foam

I dislike any type of fruit around my breakfast. Also, pancakes and waffles are pretty much dessert for breakfast, get that crap out of here. I'm a meat and potatoes kinda guy. Farmhouse use to have the best breakfast burger of all time, but they took it off the menu recently.  :frown: Sourdough bread, sunny side up egg, sausage hamburger patty, homemade jalapeno cream cheese, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a tank 7 mixed siracha ketchup to top it off. Diced up tomatoes on the side. :lick:

My kids love memory foam and syrup.  my wife and I don't eat it of course, but it eats up stomach space on the kids so they don't mess with our delicious fajita scramblers and bacon.

not only does it ("the pancake") eat up stomach space and save much needed nutrients for the family breadwinners, it's cheap as crap.  there's unlimited air in this world that we can feed hungry stomachs with and it's a shame that more people and civilizations don't take advantage of the resource

also, waffle?  burned pancake.  pancake?  air foam.  air? free unlimited resource.  hunger in developing nations?  a problem.

The egg mixture fills all of the voids in the bread. So there is no air. It's all food.

what in the world is happening in here...

Just delving into the fundamentals of basic culinary theory. Let's take the BLT for example. In this case the inclusion of the bread/bun is implied in the name. So if you replace the bread with a lettuce wrap... Do you count the lettuce twice? Seems necessary to disclose the lack of the previously included bread. So... What is this now a BLT-BR? Or an LBLT? Confusing stuff, no doubt about it.

If you work second shift, so like you sleep during the day, do you always eat DFB and BFD?

No, you have to get your lazy ass out of bed before 9 AM if you want to call it breakfast.

what in the world is happening in here...

How is it implies in the name?
If it wasn't implied it would be called a BBLT but it's only called a BLT because it's implied that the bread is included. So, to my original point, if you're going to break the social contract and leave out the bread, I think the consumer deserves to know the distinction going in.

I forgot to check in here but I had BFD on Thursday AND Friday night. Had some bacon from MMM(MHK Meat Market) and it was very enjoyable.
