Key word: Might. Probably won't sign anyone of relevance though because that's how our recruiting works.

What do you consider decent and what tool of measurement are you using to determine it?

Decent in comparison to past Kstate classes. We are actually doing well on positions of need. If we reland Walker would be a win.

Jermey Crabtree said this I'm pretty sure. He said it's scary how accurately true that is.

First and foremost, he's committed and signed with K-State. That much we already knew and the football program confirmed that much with the public back in December when they Tweeted out his joining the program.

However, he's not on campus.

Even though Xavier told me he was all set to be there in January and his coaches at Pima said the same thing, even as recently as this morning, the defensive end is nowhere near Manhattan as of today.

I'm told from two separate sources that he still has some classwork to touch up on and he's now expected to arrive in the summer.

Talking to his former defensive coordinator, Pat Ryden, of Pima CC this morning, he reiterated to me once again how raw Davis is as a player. In his mind, he thought it would've been better had the defensive end played this season but he got some "bad advice" from Oregon State (back when he was committed there) to take a year off and save it for the next level. So, when you couple that statement with the news of today that he's going to arrive late (maybe deeper into July/August depending on his course load - who knows) I wouldn't be nearly as high on his expectations as some have been lately. The whole "#1 player in this class" as he's been dubbed in some publications is a big stretch for a player who hasn't played in a year.

All along I've wondered if this is another case of Aulelio Olomua because something just doesn't seem legit about Davis. Today only reaffirms that belief I've had.

If someone unexpected signs with us it is always for one of two reasons:
1. No respectable school wanted them
2. They aren't going to qualify

We sleep walk through games with them now, we throw 3rd string QB's out there for the whole second  half and don't even let them throw a pass and we still beat them by 3 TD's.   At some point this thing has to narrow or it's going to become the most irrelevant football "rivalry" in the country.   As it stands now, we go play in Lawrence and there's more K-State fans there than KU fans.  At least in basketball we beat them every once in awhile and they need SviMongoloid to run down the court like a 4 year old to score the game winner.

Looking at Ole Miss admissions, I'm confused on how he would have had any trouble getting in considering they are rather explicit with regard to providing loopholes.

Non-resident applicants with a 2.75 GPA or higher on the College Preparatory Curriculum (CPC) or equivalent CPC of the applicant’s state of residence and a composite ACT score of 22 or higher (or 1020 or higher on the old SAT Critical Reading/Mathematics only or 1100 on the new SAT) will be granted regular admission to the University.

Non-resident applicants who do not meet the above criteria are still encouraged to apply and will have the opportunity to provide additional information to support their applications.

In addition to grades and test scores, the University Admissions Committee may consider a variety of factors to assess a non-resident applicant’s potential for success at UM and to make an admissions decision.

This is probably the most physically impressive class we've signed in Snyder 2.0.

There are legit P5 athletes here. Our development and S&C with these guys can create a really strong roster.

This is probably the most optimistic about this program since Snyder came back. It's odd that they're firing on all cylinders with Bill being as close to 80 as he is.

glad we got a bump in rankings and some surprises yesterday. i will be interested to see how they develop over their red shirt years and RSFr years to see what it looks like in 3 years. I really am optimistic with some of the juco defenders we have coming in.

good recruiting classes (good being a relative term considering WRSOAT) scare me with bill

Over the years I've come to accept that Bill will just work his Snyder juju on every class.  This takes a lot of the excitement out of recruiting, but also relieves the stress as well.

At this point, there is little doubt his system works........it's just not the super sexy way to do college football and stuff......

He also really liked Braden Wilson as an NFL prospect.  He's clueless.  If you're saving any questions for The Manhatter you might as well ask me.

Sounds like he's recovering from an injury and they weren't sure whether he would redshirt or grayshirt next year.
