There are plenty of smart ppl outside of the Ivy Leagues. Like that one judge who went to (ugh) the U. of Texas. I'd like to see the SC have a less geographically insulated grouping of perspectives on the bench.

I'm not on the right, but probably. And excuse me if I don't lay myself prostrate across someone's feet because they went to Harvard/Princeton/whatever. Don't fall for the equivalent of Beems' "KU's ratings are SO much better than KSU, we're ONE HUNDRED TIMES A BETTER SCHOOL THAN YOU" bullshit. There are plenty of qualified ppl west of the Mississippi.

This. If they're looking for such a "diversified" court that's representative of the US Demographic then this thing fails. I haven't read anything about it, but I'm guessing she's a huge lib that fits Obama's ideology (Con prof, who views the Constitution as a tool to get his crew's way, rather than a set of rules to govern the country). Basically extending JPS life by 30 years.
That "woman" is grotesque. I know in this day and age that isn't enough to DQ someone, but it f*cking should be. She looks like Shrek
