I was born 3 months before the Indiana State win, his #7. My mom and pop got season tickets that year and we have held the same seats since then. 1997 is when I really started remembering the games. I can probably count on my fingers and toes the games that I have missed. Most memorable game when I was a youngster was probably the Cotton Bowl in Dallas vs BYU where we crap the bed in the endzone and Kavanagh threw a pick a few plays later.

BYU Cotton Bowl was like a record high or something.  The Tennessee Cotton Bowl was the freezing cold one.

Man... Snyder has to be the most frustrating opposing coach for Iowa State. He's 8-0 against them since coming back with one win of more than seven points. Seems like every break has gone our way in that series lately. Probably the most uncomfortable win streak you'll ever see.

Hey sports fans, wanted to do a little breakdown of that data...some of which was a bit surprising!
Pop quiz:
Against which team did LHCBS first beat 10,15, and 20 times? If you guessed Iowa State you would be correct!
LHCBS has won games against teams located in how many different states? If you guessed 31, you are correct!
Of those 31 states, which 3 states contain the schools where LHCBS got his most wins? If you guessed Texas (38), Iowa (22), and Kansas (20) you got it right on the money!
Which team in Texas has LHCBS beat the most number of times? If you guessed the university of Texas... You'd actually be wrong! LHCBS had tallied 7 victories over UT and 8 over Texas Tech.

I'm happy for the program's win.  It was just very frustrating at times and I felt like the coaches got in the way at times and made it much more close than it needed to be.  If we played like we did in the second half of Baylor this is a run away game.  Injuries certainly played a role, but the coaching got really tight.

Snyder's first year, I was working at a service stations while going to school. Bill would stop by in a big maroon Buick. We couldn't even set him up in a Caddy in those days. I remember wishing him luck the first time he stopped in. He thanked me, which was nice.

I'm sure burnt orange fans were thinking that too. Down 15 a turn over and clock left made for an interesting moment.

At least 3 (Paterno, Bowden, Hayes) of the other 9 had pretty bad endings, right?  I never knew or don't remember the others, which is lol at nebraska funny given one is Osborne.

Putting the other same old dumbfucketry of your football board posts aside, you don't remember Osborne finishing with a national championship? The 1997 football season was pretty damn significant for Kansas State football.

What makes me a bit sad about the 200 coaches list is that Bill and Ault were the only ones to not at least play for a title (I think).

It helps the sadness when you come to the realization that our beloved cats will never play for a title. Almost, tho. I guess I'm ok with it.

So basically we need the next locketts to come in and we're guaranteed 37 wins over 4 years. Bill might as well go for 250.

Nevermind the next kid is 13 (11 in this 2 year old article) and the twins would be 8. So, that's a bit of time from now.

yeah, it was Chance on steroids.

I stayed in my cousins dorm room Saturday night and at dawn on Sunday morning the bonfire people start blaring The Aggie War Hymn to get people up to go cut firewood (which they called Stack in aggy language).  Also got yelled at to stay off the grass on campus.

Went back in 00 and 04.  By 00 my cousin had joined a frat and we went to what would of been the equiv of 12th Street and it was fine but it was in the next town over (Bryan) smdh. But you are right, the fans are very "friendly" but after 3 trips it seemed forced and condescending.

The ladies are lovely, especially if you enjoy the made up, suburban girl type (which I do).

for a school with 40k undergrads it really is pretty homogeneous - basically kids from Aggie families and then suburban Dallas, Houston, SA kids that couldn't get into UT.  I remember talking with a girl that was complaining the Texas Aggie Democrats meeting would be like 5 people while the Republican club would have 500.

Something about Kevin Lockett's NFL receiving yards.

Wasn't his longest catch as Chief a pass from Louie Aguiar on that redonk throw the pass like punt play?
