Agree with all of that

Except debt forgiveness, do not support that
-
Agree with all of that
except for UoP reparations clause

oh hi there

-
I agree with the 1st, 5th, and 6th points.

When did everyone start saying "black and brown"? It sounds weird.
-
Am I going to get in trouble if I use the term Latino instead of the more inclusive term Latinx?
Do I have to put an x at the end of every gendered Spanish word now? (There are a lot of them.)

No, just keep saying latino.

All that stuff is gone now, you guys. Part of MAGA is not having to adjust your comfy habits.

The rough ridin' free college ppl hurt my rough ridin' eyes from rolling them so hard. Thee worst kind of ppl. Free crap, eff YA!
-
my college was free because I was a monster stud
-

You sound like an evil, cold hearted bastard. How dare you expect other people to pay for college just because you did.
Also, be sure to ask your doctor next you're in for a checkup about what they think about Medicare for all.
-
my college was free because I was a monster stud
Yeah, just get good grades. I had K-State, housing, and food paid for and had enough left to buy a 1993 Ford Ranger. :D

I had to pay for rent at the frat I think but that was necessary to buy my friends.
-
I was in National Honors Society, held a 3.8 GPA in HS, but scored a 17 on my ACT so I didn't get crap. I had baseball scholarships, but I wanted to be a cat. Oh well, 5 years away from paying off this bitch. :gocho:

Free college makes sense, though, as an investment in upgrading our country's abilities.
I mean, there has been a lot of discussion about a bunch of ppl that used to have jobs that don't now due to automation and moving them out of country. One way to get ppl like that back into good paying jobs would be free secondary ed. Then you have more ppl with the ability to earn more than $12/hr providing better lives for those ppl, more places where employers can take advantage of a higher educated source of labor, higher tax rev for the govt(local and fed), less drain on entitlements, etc.
Public ed was organized in our country to help ppl be better employees. It seems like a logical next step would be public college ed given that the new factory job is not putting crap together, but rather keeping the robot that puts crap together running well. :dunno:
Sure, that isn't as fist-pump-eff-yeah friendly, but it is logical.

I'm pretty sure it was required. :dunno: It was to play sports, I know that. Anyways, I took that bitch 3 times, I scored high in certain areas so it would finally combine for a 18 so I could play sports.

If all college offered were useful degrees, you might have a point. But the proliferation of worthless "______ Studies" degrees invalidates your point.

I think free trade school would be a better use of government funds.

I paid for school (well, daddy did), but it felt free compared to the alternative (Dartmouth tuition).

Wacky
I bet you wanted to go to KU but couldn't :horrorsurprise:.

Uh, eff no

He could have gone to ku if he wanted.

Yes. Confirmed.
-
I thought 21 was the minimum for both but I don't really keep up with that stuff
-
I took the ACT in 7th grade, but out of respect for Wacky, I won't reveal whether I scored higher than him at that time.
-
Yes. Confirmed.
Sounds legit
-
I thought 21 was the minimum for both but I don't really keep up with that stuff
You needed a 21 or something like a 3.0 GPA in a curriculum that meets minimum standards. It is very easy to get into any Kansas college, but I think KU did raise their standards a couple of years ago.

I think that should be one of the choices for sure. However, I don't think you can say a welder, crane operator, or carpenter is a better investment than an engineer or doctor as far as the country goes.
-
MIR's obsession is weird. Anyways. It's 2/3. Above a 2.5 or 3 gpa, top 10% of your class, or a 21 or higher on your ACT. Get educated folks.

For the people who are screwed because the manufacturing jobs left town, trade jobs absolutely are a better investment.
-
Also, I was love drunk with my HS girlfriend, and all my boys were walking on at KU. So yes, I did check for shits and giggles
-
Lots of the more rural high schools are integrating more trade/vocational learning. Nearly all the school expansions I've seen lately are to accommodate this.

same as any standardized test
-
I know several ppl who finished near the top of their class, but tested poorly. It's whatever. Looks like it makes Mir and KK happy, so I'm happy for them.
-
I crushed the ACT in the face. Did not finish near the top of my class though.
-
this thread is going to be great

Yeah. Top of the class was for the tryhards
-
Small schools are easier than big schools, so we have to have standardized tests so colleges know who to accept.
-
I mean it's called the Actual male genitals Test. Cmon, Wax...
-
Wow! Ppl really compare dick size when it comes to ACT scores? What a world.
a 3.8 and a 17 is a huge wtf. I don't care what your ACT score is, frankly that shows how hard you work and you should be proud of that gpa.
-
wackattack I showed up super hungover and without a calculator and still did better :gocho:

Yea, I think this has been discussed. Lack of education is only half the problem. The other half is kids going to college without learning any practical skills, having no plan for a career after college, and then being unwilling (or unable, depending on the amount of loans taken out) to take lower paying jobs. A lot of those (educated) people are the ones calling for loan forgiveness.

I know people like that too... but none of them actually scored as low as a 17 either.
Explains a lot about your political views actually. You value "hard work" over the right ideas or solutions, can't handle complex concepts or theories... Rather, you prefer simple explanations and "common knowledge", and think everyone should just pull themselves up by their bootstraps.
-
I was somewhat bizzaro wacky. 25 on act but a 2.6 highschool gpa.

I got a pretty sweet score on the ACT, and I think you sound like a dumbass with this oversimplification garbage.

MIR, you can have fun with my intelligence all you want. We all know you're a very hateful person, but you run a children's camp for Christ sakes, in Iowa, so get over your depressed self.

I did the absolute bare minimum and skated with a 3.0 and 31. Did not prepare me for success at all. :frown:

3.8 and a hungover 31. Just missed some sweet academic scholarship opportunities. Made the most of my KSU education and US Navy training. Little luck in a good career fit and some great mentors along the way. Kicking ass these days.
I don't think grades and such matter much once you build your skill set. I've never had college GPA on a résumé let alone high school.
Luck and work ethic tends to play big down the road.
-

The business I run only employs 60 people, I'm a total loser. I'm sure you are much more professionally successful.
Why are you talking to me man, it was cam who murdered you.
-
I'm not going to post my numbers because I don't want to embarrass you all. I was in NHS but didn't make it to be a National Finalist or whatever they are called because I only took 1 year of a foreign language.

if there is one thing that I am 100% certain of in this world, it's that a person's high school act score ages like a nice Willamette valley pinot.

I hope they go well

similar in fashion is how there were around 3k in bram when ski dropped 62, but now twenty years later there were around 40,000 that remember being there.

Agree

Seems like he just made one post where he was kind of an bad person to Wacky. Not my definition of "killing it" but to each his own.
-
The pit is only good for flame wars. The only informative posts ever made in this section of the blogsite come from KK, sys, and bubs. I prefer to encourage the name-calling for my own entertainment. So, yes, by my definition, he killed it.

Hot take.

Ignoramuses do exist. I have been in Portland for a week for business. They are proud socialists. My question is what free crap will their future kids demand?

Wacky, if we were friends, I would tell you not to let internet people know how easy it is to get in your head.
-
I would say just to not let them get in you head, then you don't have to worry about them know it or not. The way I see it, you all exist solely for my entertainment.

These are all great points, it's just different when you've actually met these ppl IRL.
-
Don't let real people who are jerks know that either.
-
He wants the attention tho
-
Yeah, not really lib. Is that why you antagonize people down in the pit 24/7/365? You need attention?
-
2 way street wacks you like to mention what you know about people and try to use it against them so you should expect the same.
-
I was literally adding to the discussion. I'm obviously open about my experiences on here. I'm not afraid to share that I was a dumbass when it comes to standardize testing. I'm never the first one to throw a punch, but I sure as hell will fight back when getting "PI'd". I'm not looking for sympathy. You guys think i'm a dumbass, attention whore and I have my preconceived notions of you guys as well. It's all good.

It's interesting that only one person on the blog has these problems. Maybe if you think you're a punching bag then everything feels like a punch :dunno:
-
lib, you have your own cronies that come to your defense in a jam. Nobody gives you crap, minus me, and that's because you're always trying to troll and get under my skin. I'm an outlier and that's fine, but ignoring it is insane. Everyone fires at Dax, john dougie, etc. There's an untouchable list and when you kiss the right asses like you do, you jump on that list. I'm not going to kiss people asses.
-
wack. buddy. If you think anything that happens on here is being "in a jam" where you need someone to help you, you are taking it too seriously.
-
Most definitely. That's why I took a break for awhile. I like it on here. Just not a fan of a few people. I'll lighten up.
-
Hey wacks I absolutely give lib crap, but that's because he's a walking talking embodiment of what's wrong with America. He's a watcher/talker, not a doer. The watchers/talkers sit back and do nothing and just criticize others. They have no achievements to call their own. You're a doer, and you shouldn't worry about what the talkers think, because they haven't done anything ever and completely lack perspective. And, they'd likely criticize you no matter what you did.
-
 Well said!

Not trolling... But you did let me rummage/root around in your psyche there a bit, sharing so much of your personal information and all.
I'll go back to lurking here but do-ing in the real world... Better to let the professionals around here do their thing.
ALSO... Not a sock, btw. Politics is the only thing that really gets me riled up enough to feel the need to speak out.
To the original subject/intent of this thread... Thankfully, we have millennials taking over this country (largest voting bloc, best educated, most diverse generation). We may be the future's only hope. I am confident we will grow out of the political correctness/safe-space/apathy phase and start to take the reins away from the cronies.

grab em by the pussy and tell them whats up cam!

What you said was funny cam. I'm not even mad. You should post more. It doesn't hurt my feelings to be labeled as a hard worker, that has to work on his intellect. It is what it is. Better than sitting back and playing the whole woe is me card through life.
-
Yeah, you never do that like constantly
-
Yeah, you never do that like constantly
he's a doer, liblib.
-
Yeah, you never do that like constantly
IRL and posting on a message board are a little different, lib. I've got a lot of great things going on in my life. Harassing ppl on a message board, libtard politics, getting HAF, not having sex, eating and not working out, and your dog are your things, enjoy it.
-
Can you criticize the balls off someone and still be a doer?
-
Maybe we can all agree to hate Generation Z.

Interesting if accurate

Very interesting with relation to the first part.

Very important information for you to follow, lib.

Before today I haven't said anything to you or about you for a few weeks, kind of breaking my rule about giving you attention rn, but you're so obsessed that you mentioned me multiple times a day for that entire period. I don't know where these perceived punches are coming from, but you sure think you feel them.
Anyway, next time you go to mcgoinagles (sp?) come see me down the street, we can get haf and play with the dog.

He needs to feel persecuted. It essentially defines him.

Most definitely. That's why I took a break for awhile. I like it on here. Just not a fan of a few people. I'll lighten up.
Cam, how's the Directv?

Haha... Never ended up going with DirecTV. Sure did get myself into a boondoggle on that one though. Talk about PC-police run amok. Happily cut the cord, enjoying google fiber now-a-days.

Wack, not getting super personal with your BBS beefs with information you know about posters IRL would go a long way for you.
People give you a lot of crap. Sometimes it's unwarranted, but it's usually you who goes bush-league on people. It's hard for people have sympathy for you when you're routinely well out of line.
Props on the hard work. I believe doers are more valuable anyway.
-
Fair. It's just usually a quick way to shut ppl up.
-
Also thanks

Cord cutting is a much bigger crime than trying to Lebanese Directv, how dare you.
