Am I going to get in trouble if I use the term Latino instead of the more inclusive term Latinx?

Do I have to put an x at the end of every gendered Spanish word now? (There are a lot of them.)

You sound like an evil, cold hearted bastard. How dare you expect other people to pay for college just because you did.

Also, be sure to ask your doctor next you're in for a checkup about what they think about Medicare for all.

Free college makes sense, though, as an investment in upgrading our country's abilities.

I mean, there has been a lot of discussion about a bunch of ppl that used to have jobs that don't now due to automation and moving them out of country.  One way to get ppl like that back into good paying jobs would be free secondary ed.  Then you have more ppl with the ability to earn more than $12/hr providing better lives for those ppl, more places where employers can take advantage of a higher educated source of labor, higher tax rev for the govt(local and fed), less drain on entitlements, etc.

Public ed was organized in our country to help ppl be better employees.  It seems like a logical next step would be public college ed given that the new factory job is not putting crap together, but rather keeping the robot that puts crap together running well.   :dunno:

Sure, that isn't as fist-pump-eff-yeah friendly, but it is logical.

I'm pretty sure it was required.  :dunno: It was to play sports, I know that. Anyways, I took that bitch 3 times, I scored high in certain areas so it would finally combine for a 18 so I could play sports.

If all college offered were useful degrees, you might have a point. But the proliferation of worthless "______ Studies" degrees invalidates your point.

You needed a 21 or something like a 3.0 GPA in a curriculum that meets minimum standards. It is very easy to get into any Kansas college, but I think KU did raise their standards a couple of years ago.

I think that should be one of the choices for sure.  However, I don't think you can say a welder, crane operator, or carpenter is a better investment than an engineer or doctor as far as the country goes.

For the people who are screwed because the manufacturing jobs left town, trade jobs absolutely are a better investment.

Yea, I think this has been discussed. Lack of education is only half the problem. The other half is kids going to college without learning any practical skills, having no plan for a career after college, and then being unwilling  (or unable, depending on the amount of loans taken out) to take lower paying jobs. A lot of those (educated) people are the ones calling for loan forgiveness.

I know people like that too... but none of them actually scored as low as a 17 either.

Explains a lot about your political views actually. You value "hard work" over the right ideas or solutions, can't handle complex concepts or theories... Rather, you prefer simple explanations and "common knowledge", and think everyone should just pull themselves up by their bootstraps.

I was somewhat bizzaro wacky. 25 on act but a 2.6 highschool gpa.

I did the absolute bare minimum and skated with a 3.0 and 31. Did not prepare me for success at all.  :frown:
This but 28. #booze was an issue.

3.8 and a hungover 31. Just missed some sweet academic scholarship opportunities. Made the most of my KSU education and US Navy training. Little luck in a good career fit and some great mentors along the way. Kicking ass these days.

I don't think grades and such matter much once you build your skill set. I've never had college GPA on a résumé let alone high school.

Luck and work ethic tends to play big down the road.
