Title: Scribe's Missouri State Review
Post by: troubledscribe on September 25, 2016, 09:53:48 AM
Missouri State is absolutely terrible and their kick returner is going to end up brain damaged. They still might be better than KU.

The all Dimel all the time offense is already getting old and I don't think it is going to fly in big12 play.

Deltons deep ball looks like a flailing duck. Not good.

Ertz definitely took the lead in the qb race.

Our defense is  :billdance: :bball:

I'm stoked for next week, that game is going to hinge on our cornerbacks being able to control the game.

Dimel in the wildcat is very silly and will probably fail miserably against any team with any speed at all but it's funny in the meantime

I can see not wanting Ertz to pound it in on the goal line, but the biggest issue with Dimel in the wildcat is you lose your best lead blocker. That just seems crazy to me.

Jones was the best rb last night.

It would be a very Billy Snyder thing to run the dimel wildcat package every time we are inside the 10 yard line in OOC games then never run it again during conference games.

I bet bill is having a chuckle right now thinking about all the dimel wildcat film opposing coaches will waste their time on.

Then he pulls out a twist and puts Jones in the wildcat!

Stats shamelessly stolen from another site:

Winston Dimel
South Dakota, UTSA, La Tech, KU, FAU, MO St: 32 Red Zone Carries
Other 10 games against respectable teams: 4 total carries

Dimel will likely not be used in goal line situations again until Thanksgiving weekend.

We should have Ertz throw breathtakingly accurate lasers as our primary goal line package

If they don't have Dimel goal line wildcat into a pop pass this year I will eat my hat.

Its coming, and will be wide open. The question is whether valentine can catch the ball.

Jones was the best rb last night.

Didn't hear much of the game, who came in second (assuming Jones was 1st) in the titanic struggle to gain carries also known as our RB competition?

Still can't believe Steckel is SW Missouri State's coach.

can you normalize this for how many times we actually sniffed the red zone against the respectable teams?
