Title: Help me fight an injustice!
Post by: Spracne on September 13, 2016, 12:57:26 AM
I need an injustice--any injustice. Only caveat is that it needs to be something from which a credible civil rights or constitutional violation can be articulated. But, I'll worry about that. You worry about relating stories of the little guy getting mumped over by some type of government actor. It could be economic liberty, due process, equal protection, first amendment, fourth amendment, second amendment ( :excited:), anything really. I just need a discrete group of individuals who are suffering an injury as a result of onerous governmental (federal, state, or local) policies. Preferably one that has yet to be litigated, although this is not an absolute requirement.

Please reply ASAP as this request is time-sensitive.

Best,

Spracs.

I want you to fight to legalize personal ticket selling on Kstate facilities. You haven't seen injustice until you've seen an 85 year old man muscled around by the cops to confiscate his $5 bill. It violates every sense of human decency and functional economics.

Taxation w/o rep.  I mean, make it a sales tax and make me want to buy something and I'll shut up.  Actually an old complaint as it isn't an issue for me, but still bitter.

How about cops who seize cash without any other probable cause and then never give it back?

when you go to chipotle some people pile it on my burrito bowl but some act like it's coming out of their family's personal nuclear war shelter rations. I'd like some consistency here. I'm not saying it has to be unlimited pile ons 24/7/365 but I'd just like to know what I'm walking into.

Someone I'm close to sued the VA and it went all the way to the KS supreme court I think and he won.  Did it all by himself, too.  Unfortunately, it's not like it was precedent setting.  They're still rough ridin' over other veterans, waiting for them to die and then they won't owe them anything.

one of my employee's dad goes to the VA and they said it was great but that maybe it's just the Omaha VA that's great. Make Other VAs Great Again Also.

I think this (http://www.chron.com/local/article/Denied-How-Texas-keeps-tens-of-thousands-of-kids-9215602.php) would be a good lawsuit against Texas for denying student's right to a free and appropriate education.

This is a totally appropriate method of brainstorming.

What about those fake cell towers used by state/local/federal police.

@Dlew12 mentioned this earlier, and I'd like him to elaborate on it.

Thanks, KK. This is actually perf and will work perf'ly. (But FYI, education is not a fundamental right [yet]).

True but that is a clear violation of federal law/IDEA.
