Sorry if already posted. Rally House is filling the Varney's location in Aggieville. Thoughts? https://blog.rallyhouse.com/2016/08/16/hello-little-apple-rally-house-aggieville-opening-soon/
-
Good news, I love Kansas Sampler. Why isn't it Kansas Sampler? Isn't this the only Rally House in Kansas?
-
they rebranded years ago away from the kansas sampler name
-
Rally's Hamburgers would be better.

This is great for Manhattan.
-
Interesting.
Good store though. I live near one here in Kansas City, has pretty good diverse options to choose from. I always like to go there to see what they have in stock. Unfortunately they have more KU and Mizzou crap than K-State.
-
This is great for Manhattan.
Also the meltdown when there is a small corner of KU gear in there will be so amazing.

That's because those schools have more fans, and fans that buy quality branded gear, don't settle for and keep businesses that put out garbage like GTM's K-State gear in business.
-

I know, and it's irritating to see that. Oh well, I'll still go to Manhattan to get whatever I need from the K-State Store during football season.

i love it when people refer to college branded clothes and accessories as "gear"
-
What else would you call it 'clams? Clothes? Merchandise? You have to call it something to distinguish it from regular clothes smdh

i hate it
-
Fun fact: i never wear ksu gear. it doesn't appeal to me
-
because almost all of it sucks
-
Well now we will have a much better selection
-
rally house doesn't have anything better
-
What else would you call it 'clams? Clothes? Merchandise? You have to call it something to distinguish it from regular clothes smdh
what are regular clothes?
what do i call a k-state t-shirt? that's a brain buster, but i call it, "a k-state t-shirt"
at this point you're probably wondering what term i use when referring to "a k-state hat", the answer? "a k-state hat"
like, when you get home from work do you take off your work gear and switch into your chores gear before switching into your dinner gear and then into your watching tv gear before finally closing the day in your bed gear?
-
because almost all of it sucks
That's a big part of it, I don't make a habit of wearing purple bc it's ugly, even in small amounts.

Well I see what you're trying to do here and I get it, I really do. The thing is you can have a k-state hat and a k-state shirt but if you have 100 different kinds of k-state shirts and hats and sweatshirts and everything else, you aren't going to just list all 100.
You know what you say instead? I'll give you a hint and an answer because you call all of it K-state gear.

You guys are getting ridiculous

first of all, i don't tell people what i'm wearing so there's no reference point. i don't nickname any of my clothing, just not something i'm into.
maybe you do? hey guys want to watch the cats, let's get out our gear and figure out who is wearing what? seems legit.
i think we all know that gear is a term used by someone who takes their sports a bit too seriously. riot gear? ok. k-state gear? nah, i'm good.

I have a KSU Purple Big XII Champions T I bought at Arrowhead after 35-7 and you too cool for schoolers can have it when you pry it from my cold dead hands.
Its so purple it will make your head spin AND its not just a shirt, its gear.
-
because almost all of it sucks
That's a big part of it, I don't make a habit of wearing purple bc it's ugly, even in small amounts.
that's true
It's actually really easy for attractive people to make purple look good, especially in small amounts.
-
Kim is ugly I guess.
-
I have a truckload of K-State crap and I'm proud of it, so do my wife and kids. Know what else? My favorite K-State clothing item is my sexy af K-State Soccer jacket from the superstore. Now that they're in Manhattan I'm happy to add Rally House to my regular rotation with fanatics and the superstore. If I'm a K-State0 tuck, I'll bee dat.

Can't remember if I still have the Brandon Rush's phone number shirt still in stock, but that would probably be it.

He ain't bitb at fashion advice.

I'm glad the truth for this whole "k-state <insert here>" vs KSU gear discussion is coming out
-
I may have to try to talk SdK into a trip over there next weekend to check it out.
-
If u guys want to wear purple clothes to non kst sporting events I say go for it, it's weird but do what u gotta do idgaf

This is a good point. I was pretty apathetic when I first hear the announcement, but now I'm kinda excited that it might put more pressure on Dreiling to change his absolutely rough ridin' horrid business practices.

by business practices do you mean the gear quality or something else? seems like he is doing well business wise but I don't know for sure.

Looking forward to seeing how the GPC/Dreiling #family split plays out.

wildcat salute (our fanbase) loves dreiling's gear and it might be time for you to get on board too

What does Dreiling do that's so horrid? I worked at GTM 6 months and it was pretty good

They are definitely still called Kansas Sampler within the state of Kansas but this isn't the only Rally House in Kansas, the other one is inside of Allen Fieldhouse. Also didn't realize that the one on Rock Road in Wichita was the first one, I always thought the company started in JoCo.
-
can someone explain how much better this gear is than other places currently available?
-
In my opinion, a lot better.
-
I've bought more K-State "gear" from the Kansas Sampler in Lawrence, KS on Mass Street in the last 5 years than I have in Varney's, K-State Book Store, GTM, K-State Super Store, and The Cat's Closet combined.
-
In my opinion, a lot better.
can I get pics or like some sort of idea? I guess I just don't understand what the difference is.
-
Just on the websites there is close to 3x the selection of Nike branded products with Rally House vs KSSS. KSSS doesn't carry the '47 brand product which I really like, more styles, and KSSS is extremely K-State0 when you look at the products side by side.
-

It's all the same.
-
Jesus rough ridin' Christ. Can the Rally House haters please start their own Rally House hate thread!?!?

Rally House does not have more Nike products/more selection than the super store. Quite the opposite, actually.
-
Charlie Hustle in KC has some pretty sweet K-state tees, but not exactly a large selection

That's is 100% false. I literally counted each product on each of their respective we sites.

"We need to add K-State clothes to our inventory. How do we do it?"
"Okay, we take our current designs and make them purple."
"That's a start. What else?"
"We take some popular logos, add in a few common phrases and mix in some different sans serif fonts."
"So we don't have to do anything original or new?"
"No. Did I mention to make sure it was printed on a 'distressed' tshirt?"
"Brilliant. Sell it for $32"

I have it on pretty good authority that Currie was the one who pulled the strings to get Rally House into MHK
-
You've gotta be a pretty pathetic son of a bitch to be like, "Gee, what should I do right now? Maybe I'll jump online and hate the eff out of Rally House. Yeah, that sounds great! I'll make up a bunch of lies about their inventory and bash them for all sorts of stupid reasons and just sit back and laugh my ass off because that's the kind of low life, good for nothing, PIECE OF crap I truly am. Nah, not Dave. I just like supporting my school's teams, that's all. Athletics receives a percentage of every purchase.

They probably have truck nutz at Autozone.

Kansas Sampler on Quivira had an ok #IStateo collection, along with Okla St, Arkansas, and some other regional, yet not "big three" schools. I was always amazed just how much KU, Mizzou and K-State stuff they carried. Great store.
Side note: Kansas Sampler on Mass Street had a cool Farmageddon program from the 20s or 30s. I let sw have that when I left.
-
the plaza locashe doesn't sell any cats ksu stuff, it's really kind of odd

Now you people can get Gear K-State gear.
First, I would like to commend Dave on this move, a true testament to his vision and leadership and the teamwork of his staff through the years. Second, this agreement is not the end of GTM or the K-State Super Store but rather just the beginning of an exciting new era. Hanes’ heritage in collegiate apparel is deep with brands such as Gear and Champions, and the company is fully committed to Manhattan and K-State, as evidenced by its 10-year lease in the agreement.
-
I take this to mean that the few pieces of Nike gear they carried will now be none.

nancy negs and peggy po's?
