When I was Vision Questing all alone in Montana by myself I decided to meet up with gE poster Porky Morgan at a local Missoula bar. We had never met and so neither of us knew what the other looked like. I scanned the place, trying to figure out which one was Porks, and then tucked near the back I saw a guy sitting at a table by himself, staring at me. He looked me dead in the eyes from across the bar, reached down, and continued staring at me stoically as he lifted up a piece of wood above his head with both hands. On that wood, he had written the word FAMILY.

If you're going to have a piece of wood that says "family" on it at least put more effort into it than finding a 2x4 laying around and sharpie it. I thought it looked lazy af when some of the students did it but actually making a 2x4 with poor calligraphy a focal point is a whole nother level.

K-S-U Wildcats is kinda cool when he's like on top of the press box at the end of a really huge game, but it's def. beaten to death. I think like right before the game and only at the biggest moments. Also, old Willies used to be waaaay less predictable with the pattern of it and I thought it was kewl as a li'l tyke cuz I never knew when Willie was gonna slow it down for a UUUUUUUUUUUU. Didn't always happen on his third time through the letters.

Yes, and it's fine. Internally it means something. I think it can be significant for a group of 120+ guys and help them come together. There is nothing wrong with that.
I don't mind the marketing of these things, but they lose some of the meaning when spread out over a bunch of moron fans. It becomes cliche.
But still, I'm fine with it.
The thing that bugs me is they put the 16 goals into the entrance tunnel. The next coach is either going to have to deal the previous coach's slogan his whole time here or be the bad person that covered up/removed the legend's stuff.
Hopefully PJ will be fine with it and add a non-permanent "ROW THE BOAT" above the exit.
Well they're obviously planning on Sean being the next one to coach...
Or maybe Venables comes in and uses them too?

16 goals, yes. He merely added two more goals when he came back. There was 14 originally.
