I can understand the safety aspect, but we're usually pretty good at scoring TDs off them, and what about onside kicks? Just move them a little closer to the end zone if necessary.

Hate the idea of not having kick-offs. How rough ridin' lame. There's going to be a day football is only played with two-hand-touch and that day is going to suck.

Maybe they should take the 'foot' out of the name of 'football' while they're at it.  :curse:

And call it what? Just "ball"? That said, I see your point. Looks like we may be in a search for a new game name.

Kansas State — Is this a sneaky good LHC Bill Snyder team?

We’ve all seen this movie before: Kansas State doesn’t have a great year, for one reason or another. People predict a downfall, or at least more struggles. LHC Bill Snyder’s team surprises and wins 8-10 games, pulling off multiple upsets in the process. And this has the feeling of one of those teams. Kansas State went 6-6 in the regular season a year ago, but were so banged up at quarterback that they spent a large portion of the season choosing between a former walk-on who didn’t start at quarterback for his high school team and a wide receiver at the position. The fact that they went to a bowl game at all was something of a minor miracle, though it should also be noted that they gave Oklahoma State, TCU and Baylor — teams that won 10, 11 and 10 games — all they could handle. The Wildcats are now healthy, and significantly deeper at quarterback. And they get back Dante Barnett at safety, a player who was quietly among the Big 12’s best before missing all of last year with an injury. The Kansas State defense has the tools to be among the Big 12’s better units, and with the Wildcats’ top two running backs, top two receivers and fullback weapon Winston Dimel back, the offense could surprise. In other words, this team was picked No. 8 in the Big 12, but that looks a bit low.

Guy either kinda likes the cats this year, or it's just a play so if they do happen to have a good year, despite him ranking them to finish #8, he can point to that and say he called it.

All media likes to pick the cats low and go "Don't be surprised if they turn out good with Snyder" to cover their asses.

Texas and OU probably hate it as they don't want us running them back on them, so Bob hates them.  If they keep making this a touch game, I will have to start watching australian football

I thought Bill looked pretty youthful all things considered at the news conference. Best I've seen him since 2012.

Result of giving a lot of his old responsibilities to the coordinators. Should allow him to stay around for another 2-3 years.

Kansas State HC LHC Bill Snyder indicated that Nebraska might regret their decision to join the Big 10 in 2011.

"When push comes to shove. I don’t want to speak for anybody, but I’m not so sure [Nebraska is] pleased with the decision they made," Snyder said during Big 12 Media Days. He admitted that he "most certainly" missed matching up with the Cornhuskers during division play. While Nebraska finished the 2015 season with an uninspiring 6-7 record, they had recorded at least nine wins in each of their previous four seasons since 2011.

They sacrificed their identity and clout for anti Texas money. I can never understand how fans like moving to foreign conferences for short term novelty
