What should I be looking for? Probably going to Best Buy price match it. Where should I look online.

Costco, homie

Unless something has changed recently there is not a ton of 4K material and no real standard for physical media distribution. If 4K "sticks" you will likely be ready to upgrade by then anyways.
I would look for the best bang for your buck gaming model as they will generally be good for sports viewing too.
-
need one of these too, in addition to my new mattress. TIA.
-
Go to the store and look at them. Buy the one that looks best.
-
1- Get as big as you can afford
2- Make sure it has HDR 10 at a minimum, Dolby Vision is ideal.
3- 4K is obvious at this point.
4- OLED is the best you can get (but boy, it's pricey).

50" is plenty for my house. Bigger than that is kinda weird TBH

Is this worth $200 Optoma HD141X 1080p 3D DLP Home Theater Projector ?
saw it for sale on fb and thought about pulling the trigger also selling there pull-down screen for $50.
-
Either buy OLED or buy something cheap until OLED comes down in price. Oh and I like Samsung products but their QLED is not the same or as good as OLED.
-
The eclipse has clearly had an impact on CF3

we put a 55 inch 4k TCI from Costco for $419 at the lake house last summer and my only complaints are the Roku remote does not work with cable or sat and the hdmi interface with the avr is kinda funky

Ive never had a projector so Im wondering how big a pain in the ass it is hooking a roku and xbox up to it if its ceiling mounted
-
depends on the room, but moderately a pain in the ass i assume. prob becomes much easier if you have an a/v receiver or something, then you just need an hdmi cable long enough to get to your receiver. 30' is about the max length.

this 55" 4k ultra hd is $399 w/ prime shipping

Wow!
-
Oh sweet. I didn't need a TV until I saw that.
-
I've got a samsung and 2 sonys. oldest is a sony, middle samsung, newest sony. like a samsung sandwich with sony bread. oldest sony is an led but back when led's were kinda new and the picture is crappier than the other two. newest one is the only one that's 4k. I don't think there's anything 4k played on it though.

This is a very highly rated tv set.
For those that don't know, you don't get a 4K set for it being 4K. You get it for the HDR. HDR makes things very very pretty.
-
Is that tv good for mood lighting when respecting a lady?
-
I mean, it has great features. Not sure about the mood lighting.

A few months ago 2-year-old WNKjr threw a hard plastic object and broke my 65" Samsung.

I will one up you on this one...on my last 3 TV's I went to Costco, looked at them, and bought the cheapest one in the size I wanted, because I could barely tell any difference between them. Totally happy with each purchase.

Little Pete busted one with a controller after a disputed video game loss. We had a tough talk and a teaching moment, but I had to respect the will to win.

It really helps relieve your frustrations with the game. I have broken several controllers and I feel so much better afterwards.
