Title: SUPER BOWL SUNDAY
Post by: bones129 on February 07, 2016, 12:50:10 AM
Will you watch it all, host a SB party, or just ignore it?  Maybe posted in wrong thread (IDGAF).

MODS, please move this one.

I will be hosting in the theater. Gonna make guac, southwest egg rolls, chorizo and cheese dip and margaritas. Think we're having ribz and wingz too. Maybe some colas.

School night tho :(

Was going to a big party in our old 'hood, but we've got a chilly NorEaster, don't even feel like putting anything on the smoker.   So it's homemade pasta and other usual suspects with a few friends.

Thru 3 qtrs, Den has 174 net yds and 7 first downs....and is up 9 pts

CAR has 3 TOs (-2 on TO margin). 1 directly resulted in a TD
CAR had a poor punt (29 yds) which caused confusion, and a 61 yd PR ensued.
CAR missed a 44 yd FG
On DEN 5 punts, the Panthers have 3 returns, 0 yds, 25 yds on 2 penalties. All that resulted in 272 net yds on the 5 punts.

They keep showing "super bowl babies". I think I have a "all star game voting" baby on the way

438 total yards
23 First Downs
7/31 on 3rd downs
3.62 yards per play

That was what Den Offense did and they won the Afc title and Super Bowl

Good thing "Edge of Tomorrow: Live. Die. Repeat." was on HBO during the game.  Gave me something interesting to watch.  More like the Slumber Bowl.

It was shockingly awful, may have finally jumped the shark.

The game was interesting because it wasn't a blowout, and a study in what a good defense can do to a pretty good quarterback.

Fury road did not translate well to tv. The effects look horrible, at the theater they looked great.
