The Supreme Court ruled today that Florida's death penalty is unconstitutional. ? . I am too simple I guess. The state sets rules, and they should have the right to bump off killers as they so choose.

By that logic torture isn't unusual either. We're the only developed nation that still uses the death penalty. That makes it unusual.

We really don't execute that many people, per capita. I mean, yeah, we execute more than Pakistan per capita, but not Yemen or Afaghanistan! :Woot:

The justice system has made tons of errors, and death is final. Can't overturn a conviction if the guy/gal is dead.

yes. you can't let people out of death when you figure out they're innocent. and we're not very good at telling the innocent from the guilty.
