I podcast all of my sports talk now so I have the luxury of hearing what I want to hear and nothing else. I listen to a combo of KC guys, Boston guys, and national. When I lived in Wichita I listened to Rome everyday. He's now been replaced by Dan Le Batard and Bomani Jones.

Jake Guti has settled down a fair bit over the years. He used to frequently make jokes about homosexuals, but then they got Lezak on, so he stopped that for the most part. He also used to really go over the top trying to troll and agitate KSU fans, but then Fescoe left and he had to work with Nate and Steven, and they typically are more accepting than other on air personalities.
Petro is a Shawnee mission east grad, and life long KU fan. It's ridiculous when he tries to act like he is impartial. He should just own that and stop giving a shot what people say. He can't help his bias, clearly.
The head scratcher for me is the Friday stump the chimps thing. There is a rabid following of that crap, which I do not get. I hate it. Cannot stand it. I'd rather listen to the Smoke and Fire segment on BITB, and that thing is hot garbage too. At least the racing boys aren't on as much. Woof.
MVP of WHB is Steven, and everyone knows it. EVERYONE likes him, and most love him.
The one I really miss is John Renshaw. I found him endearing. Limestone and I were big fans back then. He used to piss so many people off with his "ambiguously gay" comments. And that theme song!!!!! Also, the way he would take notes during the game and then read them to us, and always be like "hmmmmmm, I was really drunk last night, because I do not remember taking these notes..." I hope he is in recovery now, seemed like a great guy with some tough problems.

I listened to that Kerkhoff segment religiously until late last year when it became obvious that he had no insight into K-State football or basketball at all, he isn't close to the programs at all. I know with football that changed when Snyder left, Kerkhoff was one of the few media members that Bill trusted. Klieman let's everyone have equal access so by the time he's on Thursday talking about K-State he has nothing to say that we haven't already heard. He has less insight than you and I.

That's for sure.Yesterday, Soren took a break from his wall-to-wall Chiefs coverage and had Blair Kierkhoff on to talk college football. The segment was 45 minutes long. Guess how long they talked about #16 K-State (Soren has them ranked 14th btw).
4 minutes.
Those men talked KU football for HALF AN HOUR. Followed by 8 minutes of Mizzou, 4 minutes of EMAW, and 3 minutes nationally.

Kerkhoff legit had problems remembering the names of any of the local quarterbacks on yesterday's segment. Kept referring to Howard and Daniels as "uh...the freshman." Pretty embarrassing. I'm confident I know a lot more about both K-State and KU than he does.

The day after the world series, all they wanted to talk about, was how much of a dumbass Turner is/was. They'll go on rants from time to time, lecturing how serious this is. In my experience, hockey tickets are also super affordable. I'd learn to like hockey if I could get primo seats on the cheap. It can also be fun to watch.

I like listening to Nick and Lazlo talk sports, easily my favorite part of the church. I'm in the middle about Nick, I think like most guys in that position it's all about making bold claims to get the clicks, but he can obviously be pretty preachy.

These are really good podcasts, he talks about his life in both of them, in one he talks about Keitzman kicking his ass in the ratings, sorry I don't remember which. He also talks about Whitlock, I believe in both. Whitlock was close to both Nick and Bomani until he went full blown MAGA. I think Bomani and Nick mentions Whitlock every time they talk together on a podcast.

When someone losses everything for being a dumbass, they usually have two choices: 1. Learn from it. Better yourself and look internally how to do better moving forward or 2. Play victim. I don't care how people worship, believe, testify, etc. It just struck me funny that in the course of a discussion about how much God is in their lives and specifically how he guides their path, a very evangelical conversation, the word eff was used about every fifth word.

Have heard anecdotes that Nate is self important and doucheyi don't really know Nate but my kid played a baseball tournament on his kids team that he helped coach and i have coached against him multiple times in baseball and basketball and he was nothing but classy in all interactions.
