Title: Hurts to lose; UNC ADV

In the end, a close loss is a loss. Losing an 8 point lead in less than 4 minutes is disappointing. Making mistakes down the stretch is not a winning formula.

The Hurt injury to his hand leading to the UNC oboard which led to a 3 was bad. The Edwards airball on an open 3 was bad. The pair of Stokes turnovers after a great game were bad.

Still, this team was really fun to watch for 36+ minutes in building an 8 point lead. It could be a tournament team if these guys continue to play with this type of energy and develop.

We'll see.

1) We held UNC to 59 pts the first 63 poss.  Impressed by that

2) He wanted to stick with the backcourt that played well in the 2nd half, but fatigue was a factor playing back to back days.  No excuse for not bringing Wes back in at the under 4:00. He botched that but not calling a TO to get Wes and Hurt into the game tied at 68 is flat out pathetic

3) 5 games in and it's very clear we have upgraded the 2 PGs we sent packing last year.

We had a 31 minute stretch when we outscored them by 14. Very frustrating.

This team is way more enjoyable to watch when they increase the tempo on offense. Most teams are, but still.

I felt like was watching some KU vs. KSU game in the mid/late 90's.  Roy does what Roy has always done best: beat KSU.

1.36 points per possession/50 points scored in the second half? Eek. I knew our defense was bad at the end, but that is worse than I realized.

Stan and Wyatt kept talking on the radio about trying to wear down UNC due their lack of depth, but it sure seemed to me that we were the ones that were gassed.

Strong start. Impressive collapse. Will be interesting to see how the team regroups and moves forward.
