Here's some fun insidery info for you fools...
Had lunch on Thursday with the father of a starting flood aggy football player and, unprovoked, he mentions that "Rhoads hates your coach". So, I'm like " :sdeek: ... go on, please." At which point, he sort of backtracks a bit and states that while Rhoads doesn't like :billdance: at all, he certainly "respects" him for what he's accomplished, but the tornado birds work all year with but two games on their minds...
Iowa and, you guessed it... the flagship - K-State.

JFC, butch up sissies. ISU wins one game and only game they're not supposed to win every single year. This is the same team, same players, same coaches that beat Iowa and Toledo last year then lost to one of the worst teams in Big 12 history by 20. They're 4-16 on the road in conference the last 5 years and 2 of those four were against KU. If I have to read three weeks of "Iowa State is going to beat us," I may injure someone.

But it breaks my heart and it made the victory, and I shared that with our players afterward, that it wasn't the victory that was so monumental in my mind, it was what it meant to the young people in our program, then after hearing of Paul's dismissal that just dampens everything considerably. I'm not attuned to the situation and can't make those kinds of decisions but I know I've always felt that he does it the right way, and I'm quite certain his players were taken back and really pained by it as well. He's a good man.

Some say Paul is a good defensive coordinator (maybe he is, maybe not) and Bill's respect and affection for Paul is pretty clear. My question: if Tom Hayes retires after this season (Bill won't fire him), are we looking at Paul Rhoads as DC? Frankly, I hope not.
