The PUD stadiums thread had me thinking, what is your favorite stadium that isn't your school/team's venue? Mine is Husky Stadium at University of Washington. The building itself and the setting is simply incredible.
I may be defending her a little too much, but I just love Husky Stadium.

Precisely.
Seriously though, is there anything more underwhelming that Washington sports? they aren't good at anything that matters.

Great point. It's proximity to a BWW is unparalleled in college football. Once the game is over you are only a 5 minute walk from crushing some two boners and some Coors Lights with your buds.

Add Minnesota to your list of "Favorite Stadiums from Another School" based upon that criteria?

That flour mill is no longer a mill, but a concert venue. And I agree, it's probably the best setting in CF, built in the side of a butte, views to downtown, mountains, and the Tempe Town Lake. Once the reno's are completed it will no longer be a POS inside. I can also confirm Dream Palace is still there but the Library is closed. Last I knew it was called the Gringo Star now, but I haven't paid attention recently.

The most offensive part of that tweet is that they didn't get the right your. :flush: Other than that, well done.
-
Georgia and Clemson.
Clemson probably has the best setting in college football.
Both stadiums are large, but you don't even know they're there until you're very close.
-
Michigan is like that too, very overwhelming once you see how big the bowl is, but little above ground impact.
I think my favorite I've been to is UT or CU. CU is just insanely beautiful and has the weird Colorado end zone thing.
-
I have always been in love with The Swamp. Very unique.
this is mine
-
Auburn's is awesome. I'd love to check out Ohio State's and Michigan's. Also, Wisconsin.
-
also autzen and colorado
-
Colorado is cool, but the fans are rough ridin' monsters.
-
Wait are we discussing atmospheres or actual architecture/aesthetic? bcuz if it's the latter plz merge, =mods?=
-
Colorado is cool, but the fans are rough ridin' monsters.
People always say this but I've never actually experienced it.
-
the horseshoe is big but not nice in any way. i don't think sanford looks all that great, not compared to the swamp anyway. i like michigan state's setup quite a bit.
-
Colorado is cool, but the fans are rough ridin' monsters.
People always say this but I've never actually experienced it.
Yeah, still best road trip in the old 12, I miss it hard
-
I like Clemson's as well. Like South Carolina and Alabama's because of their lights (Bama's is the best field lighting setup. Wish we could do that but on a stadium with 45,000 less seats).
-
Colorado is cool, but the fans are rough ridin' monsters.
People always say this but I've never actually experienced it.
Yeah, still best road trip in the old 12, I miss it hard
Many have witnessed batteries thrown and piss cups pored on opposing fans (including me, while with Stan).
-
guys we already have a thread for this :don'tcare:

-
The site lines at T.Boone are the best I've ever seen. Perfect combo of distance from field and slope.

When I went it was up in the top of their bowl (opposite corner from the KSU section) and their townies/1 prof seemed to hate their students.
-

Camp Randall is very loud with lots and lots of  beforehand.
-
wait, Wisconsin fans drink before their games? wtf, why haven't we been doing this. CURRIE!!!!!!!

You don't understand Wisconsin until you are there. So drunk.
-
LET'S GET WASTED, YES!
-
Man, you guys are right, Clemson's stad is pretty great.
-
I really like how big bowls (rose bowl, Michigan stadium, Notre Dame stadium, etc) look on tv
-
(https://goemaw.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fworldonline.media.clients.ellingtoncms.com%2Fimg%2Fcroppedphotos%2F2009%2F11%2F27%2Fgridiron_club_football_mly_t640.jpg%3Fa6ea3ebd4438a44b86d2e9c39ecf7613005fe067&hash=56840d58765aef78c0abf15e679a7bb9812eba10)

Looks like this venue is hosting a high school track meet.
My favorite stadium is Georgia. Like Dax said, its nestled in a neighborhood with trees, but I've never experienced it.
I have experienced TCU, and like its setting close to a nice neighborhood and Colonial.
Nubb is least favorite experience. Its a f'g dump.
-

They don't hold noise as well as tiered stadiums with height tho.
-
I think I've only been to OSU, KU, UT, and MU's stadiums. Of those, I liked Texas most. :dunno:
-
Clemson is a nice stadium it they rush the field after every win. Very weird so that knocks it back a bit
-
My fave stadiums are typically just home to my fave crowds.

Other than K-State, Notre Dame was probably my favorite overall game day experience I've had. It's a cool place, unless you just hate the rough ridin' crap out of Notre dame.

QFT. Went while Bielma was coaching there before Wiscy fans got tired of him. A very fun experience.

Realtalk? I think Lane Stadium is hilarious looking for a number of different reasons and I wouldn't say it's aesthetically pleasing but I do think it's kind of cool. And I WOULD def. want to go a game there, or even just check it out and do a brutal takedown of it in the real stadium thread.

Drove by this weekend while I was in town...complete waste of time. I'll have to try again when it's actually open for a look inside.

Yup, good one, dad.
That stad has come a long way, could go without the mismatched turf, but other than that it's pretty great. How's the gameday atmosphere? Dean domey?

Dax I have a really healthy respect for your love of UNC's stadium. It's a great stadium.
Friends.
-
Based on personal experience, Michigan Stadium is overrated. Not loud, not a good tailgating atmosphere. Blueblood perception of themselves although they're all from crap ass rust belt Michigan communities.

Cool, good call, a post like this should in no way be in the thread called "ITT We Laugh At Other Pud Teams' Stadiums/Arenas." :don'tcare:
