Amazing. I wish I could just walk into my bosses office and be like "hey, so like a big part of my job that i'm responsible for? yeah, that one, so the guy I chose to run it, it's obvious he's not very good at it and he's going to suck. can we take out all the incentives related to that and just make my salary higher? that way I can only share in the success and not in the failure of things i'm responsible for. great. thanks."

interesting. now if it were me (it's not), i would've spread the money around a little bit to guys like chad weiberg in order to try to keep them at kstate long term. you really don't want to turn those top level guys over, especially when they're really good.
