Title: WEScued in Manhattan; ISU ADV

The defense finally showed down the stretch and Wesley and company made enough plays to win it. Nice win for the Cats.

I think K-State wins a few of those dud losses if Wes was himself earlier in the season.

Yes. He was great today and Edwards was good. Plus Johnson.

That 2nd half defense, especially the last 8 minutes, was really good.

I feel dumb saying this, as the Brucecoaster is still rolling along, but kudos to oscar for getting this team to play.

This is a good season summary of his career. Too good to be terrible. Too bad to be really good.

It's #bruceketball.

He's incredibly disruptive on defense he caused a few steals late that helped.  Nigel is clearly our best option though.

Both on the floor was pretty good today. Nigel is better at the 2 anyway.

Fun wins. But relatively meaningless if Foster continues to rack up bench minutes, imo.

Gipson had a very solid senior night as well. 9 rebounds, 8 points on 4-of-5 shooting and numerous tipouts and effort plays.

Nigel seems to give the opposing defense more problems than Marcus, IMO

He has because he's not afraid to attack and create. Marcus is just fine with hugging the 3 point arc and launching 3's.

We took so many bad shots, it was frustrating. We shot the ball like we were playing against the Bulls. The Hurt guarded 3 with 27 seconds left on the shot clock was   but it wasn't close to the worst shot taken.

oscar is working in more mysterious ways than ever. last time he beat two top 15 teams at home must've been 2004-2005 (if ever, back-to-back). illini fans have told you all ad nauseam 1 or 2 times a year that he beats teams he isn't supposed to beat, but again, 2 top 15 teams back-to-back? this is almost as strange as recruiting foster out of nowhere after coaching/recruiting in the same state as chicago for 9 years.

still, happy for you guys.

Thomas Gipson and Nino Williams played their final game at Bramlage Coliseum. Gipson had eight points and nine rebounds, while Williams had six points and four rebounds. K-State coach oscar Weber thanked both seniors for their hard work.

“Neither one has the physical gifts, but they have made the most of what they have,” Weber said. “That is the biggest thing.”

If there's one thing we know we are extremely good at, it's over-compliance.

Gotta love the zero tolerance, criminalization approach.

1) Killed sandstorm and replaced it with a Jock Jams medley.  Check.
2) Multiple PA reminders in the second half about fans entering the court facing prosecution. Check
3) The completely over the top human wall of security.  Check

A+ effort all around.

He just said they are undersized and played hard.  :dunno:
