good so far
-
Really? I hope the whole thing isn't 5 second clips....
-
probably not
-
Right on cue.
-
Jeopardy is one of my favorite skits.
-
celebrity jeopardy good
connery, mcconaghey, reynolds all excellent.
-
GE Smith :surprised:
-
Jared Leto is 43! My god. I was 9 years old watching my so called life?
-
GE Smith :surprised:
Chevy Chase looked worse than Keith Richards when I saw him on the red carpet earlier.
-
Very good so far.
-
The Californians + buh-bye ending was a double bomb.
-
Maya as Beyonce is soooo good
-
Maya as Beyonce is soooo good
That and Martin Short against the wind have been best so far. Everything else has been underwhelming imo (besides clips, I like clips). Celebrity Jeopardy was awkward and wimpered.
-
I'd kiss Maya a lot.
-
Californians was awesome, what's wrong with you guys
-
Also was that actually Sarah Palin?
-
Michigancat has the biggest boner right now
-
Welp it's official Kanye thinks/maybe he is Jesus. Good for him...
EDIT: Also, holy autotune!
-
Miley AND Kanye with great performances
-
Omg
-
I'm glad we got a Larry David and Jerry moment. It made me smile
-
Sanberg/Sandler started slow, but got funny.
-
Just started watching.
A "Waking up w/ Kimye" with the real Kanye in the house would be great. Have Kanye walk in on Jay Pharoah, kick him off, then play himself as Pharoah comes back in w/ Maya to do Beyonce, and then someone come in later and play Beck. <---- OMG, Beck Bennett.
Waking up with Kimye - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0bT60BLYKM <--- even better that GaGa is playing Karen.

Larry, you going to the party?
...
...NO!
-
The only thing missing was a pretty pretty prettay good when they were talking Seinfeld.
-
Paul Simon is 73!
-
His wife is 48!
-
It's been fun. Even when it wasn't great.
-
I was pleased overall. Glad it wasn't just a clip show.
-
very enjoyable.
-
really enjoyed it. Didn't realize everyone hates Chevy Chase. Also that it was a big deal Norm was there.
Eddie Murphy's thing was short and weird.

Eddie Murphy's thing was short and weird.
Yes. Very. He was super weird on the red carpet too. I guess he's still mad at SNL for making fun of one of his shitty movies.
-
Norm got fired for making fun of o.j.too much
-
Quick takeaways..
C- product overall
Wtf was the hour-long Californians skit in the middle?
Eddie Murphy was huge let down. Hosting while cast member is baller.
No christopher walken?
Seinfeld bit was really good
Ferrell is prob the best cast member ever.

Watching now. Montages blow. Glad I can fast forward those.

About 75% of it was montages.
-
It was a good reminder that it's always had great skits and not great skits, and it's very generational
-
Then it was like "remember this funny joke we told in 1986? HERE IT IS AGAIN WITH THE SAME GUY BUT NOW OLDER!!!!"

Bill Murray was maybe the funniest thing on the show.

Loved the montages, especially the political one. I was shocked at how much I liked the NYC one. I think the longer you can identify the clips the more apt you are to like the montages.
I thought the last 90 minutes was very self-serving for the people attending and because of it the show ended with a thud. Too much Lorne stuff at the end and I felt the Wayne's World sketch was sacrificed so that they could participate in some back slapping.

yeah, they should have let it be a real wayne's world sketch and not a "isn't SNL so great?" sketch. however, i thought all the kanye jokes during that sketch were nice considering kanye and mike's history.

Oh man, I completely forgot about the Mike Meyers/Kanye connection.

I can't imagine how uncomfortable that would be if you were Myers

The audition tapes. They all looked so nervous

Paul Simon is 73!
I could have sworn he was eleventy-one. He looks straight out the Shire these days is what I'm saying.

Me and Frodo down by the schoolyard is one of his better tunes

Norm Macdonald telling stories on twitter.

The Fallon recap was cool. I liked the intro song and the jeopardy best. Thought the break ups song sander did was decent.
