Sandstorm? Winning Tournament games? Wednesday byes? The OOD? Being respected? All dead.
What are some other things you remember that oscar has killed and are now dead?
-
Doubtful I will make the effort and drive to Manhattan for games the rest of the season. Hate to waste the season tickets but my seat will probably remain open most games. And I sat through the Wooley years.
-
The excitement and anticipation of the studliness of our players with the new BBTF. Man, that guy who donated $5 million for the construction has to be pissed that oscar is porking him on his return on investment.
-
Is Garth dead?
-
Is Garth dead?
Pretty active on Twitter he RTed me today
-
I'll miss looking forward to discovering a new stud each year
-
The almost surreal atmosphere and energy of a big game, the haze in the air and the student section which was an actual animal of its own
-
Big Monday games and tunnel dancing
-
Showing up at the butt crack of dawn to sit in the angriest student section on God's green earth.
-
Driving to Manhattan on a Tuesday during a snowstorm to get weird, crushing pre game beers at that bar in jardine
-
Knowing that win or lose, you were going to get EMAWed up and fist pump at least five times wherever you were.
-
Playing on a Wednesday at the P66 will kill me guys, I can't do it
-
Attending and winning NCAA tourney games.
-
Morphing the coach's last name into everyone's favorite business district.
-
Believing we were in nearly every game bc we played harder than everyone
-
This thread is making me sad.
-
Always knowing my team would play really hard. It wasn't always pretty, but it was winning basketball.

Honestly, I'm now surprised how much I took this for granted.
-
Getting called aau ball
-

Worse streak to lose - no wednesdays or ncaa record consecutive home winning seasons?

What a complete jerk.
These interviews that K-State makes Stan do is the only time I can remember losing coaches or players interviewed before they can even leave the court/field/ice, it's pretty cruel. That was a really hard loss, I sat in my seat for 20 minutes in disbelief.

Believing we were in nearly every game bc we played harder than everyone
Hearing analysts and talking heads like Jay Bilas talk about how hard K-State played. When they would say the Cats were the toughest team in the country.
-
Making plans for March Madness like going to Las Vegas or the respective host city. That's all gone now though, just completely gone.

Watch the video in this link. Listen to what the sportscasters say about USC. That's what I miss.

On a related note, hearing the analysts constantly talk about K-State as a team that absolutely NOBODY wanted to play in the tournament, and knowing they genuinely believed that (because it was true).

The Anger. How long will it take to restore The Anger?
-
I miss Jacob Pullen who represented the epitome of the kind of players we had under Frank. I mostly miss being feared by opponents and going to games to boo the refs and not my own team.

Boo whatever you want.

Always knowing my team would play really hard. It wasn't always pretty, but it was winning basketball.
They always played full-out. At least it seemed like it. Lot's diving, fouling for loose balls.
Dominique Sutton was fun to watch. Major hustle.
