At least I have one more year of saying things like "Sams would have scored on that play" or "We would have won that game with Sams" or "Good thing we got rid of Sams" (Sarcastically after a bad play by the QB)
Coulda had a senior Sams
3-0 non conbeat the non con and KU, ISU, TT. 6-6 for the cats. it will be sad.
Beat KU, ISU, WVU, TT,
Lose BU, TCU
50-50 OSU, OU, TX
8-4 or 9-3
OSU is going to whip our asses
Since when do we hate white players, wtf s60
Not a single proven, legitimate playmaker on offense.
Worst wide receiving corps in 20+ years under Snyder. Who is Bazooka Joe supposed to throw to?
Stroles 2.0 wasn't good enough to beat out two running backs this year that wouldn't start for 90% of the P5 teams in the country, but is supposed to be the savior next season.
The O-Line is still talent deficient and thin.
The defense is still coached by Tom Hayes.
Honestly, this team will be lucky to win 5-6 games.
What this guy just said ^^^^^
Hey, Kleinsgorgee and Hayes comes back, that's good for Hubes, right? He likes laying on his back, right?
This frosh Rb likes making his own holes, right?
Somebody mentioned Judah Jones? He played this year? First time I saw him was last night......that 7 yard out route he caught was something else, must be special?
DB's will still play 10 yards off the line of scrimmage and Will Davis somehow for some reason will be starting at LB......that's all good, right?
Our offense will be down in some games, where time is crucial, and we will still look to the sideline for "advise" on what to do, as precious time tick tocks away, but it may put us in the right play, right???
Since when do we hate white players, wtf s60got his sports mixed up. Klein.

bold - games we should win
italics - games, that, I mean, we have a chance to win
TCU - no rough ridin' chance
defensive line needs to get better, LB's need to get better. More of a QB run game next year might lead to more of a run game in general (less completions in the passing game, but higher ypa maybe).
should win 7-9 games.
OSU is going to whip our asses
Joe Hubener is going to take college football by storm in 2015. We probably finish 1 win shy of a Big 12 'ship.
A Ron Prince team would beat this upcoming team.

I feel like 7-5 is a very generous "worst case scenario". I see 5-7 being worst case, 7-5 realistic, 9-10 winning some games we shouldn't. Our defense should keep us from being terrible. The offense will likely keep us from being good(hope they surprise me).Not a single proven, legitimate playmaker on offense.

I'm a Tom Hayes fan. Just going to put that out there.
Worst (real) case scenario next year is 7-5. If we think our talent and / or coaching sucks next year, look at some of the teams we're playing.
I don't think their is a rational argument against Tom Hayes. He is really good at his job. For some reason people want us to run on defense like Oklahoma State who has a more talented players and a worse defense. There is an argument that certain position coaches are pulling their weight recruiting wise.
Worrying about a LHC LHC Bill Snyder offense isn't healthy.Well the offense was a problem this year. Completely one-dimensional with no run game. Cost us the Auburn game. Held BU and TCU below their season averages(still got brutalized), but the offense didn't come through. Removing the only thing this offense had--the passing game with Lockett, Waters, and Sexton--doesn't give me high hopes for them, but hopefully they surprise. We will need Hubener to channel Klein to give us a shot I think.
Comparatively, the offense was better than the defense. As I said all season (and Mixed Nutz correctly pointed out), the offense did a pretty good job this year.Worrying about a LHC LHC Bill Snyder offense isn't healthy.Well the offense was a problem this year.
When broken down, this is correct, but it doesn't really tell the true story. The reality is that both offense and defense were nothing amazing, but both were good. The offense aired it out great, but often had an inability to eat clock and struggled in short yardage situations. In several games the offense put the defense in bad situations, which doesn't help defensive stats. The defense at times did not help the offense, but it doesn't really affect it statistically.Comparatively, the offense was better than the defense. Offense: 6 YPP (30th Nationally; 5th in the Big XII); 1 Giveaway per game (10th nationally; 2nd in the Big XII); 0.49 points per play (16th nationally; 4th in the Big XII).
Defense did OK relative to the conference, but was pretty mediocre nationally:
Defense: 5.4 YPP (55th Nationally; 5th in the Bix XII); 1.7 Takeaways per game (56th nationally; 4th in the Big XII); 0.34 points per play (34th nationally; 4th in the Big XII).
We also (apparently) have a receiver named Steven West, #13. A guy I didn't realize existed until Jake threw an incomplete pass his direction during the bowl game and he was on TV.Looks like he had a catch against SFA.He's listed at 6 foot 198 but he didn't look that big on TV
Just as a point of reference as we look at the top talent on Snyder's worst teams. People really shouldn't dismiss how terrible our offensive talent is going to be next year. This is what worries me. Many are thinking "Snyder will figure something out. He always does". That is usually true, but what about our RB situation this year? We lost Hubert and had not seen anyone show that they MIGHT be the guy to step up. Many thought it would surely work itself out. It didn't ever work itself out. Now we lose our WRs without anyone showing they could potentially step up. I hope I am wrong and that some guys make huge strides forward, but I am not holding my breath.

Did he ever get in a game? I remember him being exclusively a practice squad player/weight room inspiration
He's asking about Clayton in the NFL.Did he ever get in a game? I remember him being exclusively a practice squad player/weight room inspiration
Clayton? Yeah. Had over 200 carries for over 1,000 yards and 7 TDs.

FWIW, both of these future EMAW studs are pretty studly in the EA SPORTS NCAA 14 game, at least the with the downloaded rosters that the LSU bros did for download.
Heath is especially good on deep routes.

Welp, looks like I better update the list.
Aaron Lockett was drafted.
Rock Cartwright has been has one of our most successful running backs to play in the league.
Scobey was a sixth round pick, played in the league for 6 seasons and made a pro-bowl as a kick returner.
Thomas Clayton was also a sixth round pick, played in the league for three years.
So basically, even in our most terrible years we have had at least two players with NFL talent at skill positions.

I always confuse Keithen Valentine and William Powell. I also always confuse Josh Scobey and Frank Murphy
Man, we really cared about wining back in those days. NFL talent coming out of our ears. Getting put on probation by the NCAA for boosters buying BMW's for our players and everything.:opcat:
Now we're debating how incredible our white walk-on QB is and how David West is going to pick up where Tyler Lockett left off.
I always confuse Keithen Valentine and William Powell. I also always confuse Josh Scobey and Frank Murphy
Oh man, Frank Murphy was pretty great. Makes me remember back in the DOD days when we were serious about trying to win a title and we'd get in there and really recruit the true all American JUCO studs, guys like Bishop, McDonald, Jeff Kelly, Q Morgan, before we decided to go the route of walkons and 5 heart Kansas farm boys.
Frank was pretty baller with his gold teeth. I also like the fact that we gave him a car, again, back in the DOD when we really cared. Dude was insanely fast, like legit 4.3, but ran upright and carried the ball awkwardly. Laying out for that amazing catch that made it in Sports Illustratedwas also pretty cool at the time.
My God, we were stacked in 1998. Dude was the JUCO player of the year and didn't even start.

Hey guys, how terrible are we going to be at the skill positions next year!?!
Judah Jones has now quit the team.
