Title: Enjoying Lahaina's Foster; Purdue ADV

At the end of the day, the Cats were fortunate to put up their 4th best offensive performance (points per possession) in oscar's 2+ seasons at K-State. The 2nd half defense was awful and K-State has only won 3 other games in the last 10 seasons when giving up more more PPP than they allowed today in Hawaii. K-State came out with a win, even though Purdue was able to turn an early 2nd half deficit of 20 points into single digits by late in the half.

Foster was amazing, hitting multiple clutch shots down the stretch and over the course of the game. Coming off the 2nd worst offensive performance of his young career it was nice to see him respond with his 3rd best.

Gip's foul trouble was problematic as was 0 rebounds. He did some nice things when he was on the floor, but no rebounds from Gip is unacceptable.

The PG battle is a dilemma, but Johnson and Thomas continue to give a mix of minutes. Thomas tied for the lead in rebounds for this game and he did some nice things, but some of his decision making is still questionable. Johnson played fewer minutes with more assists, steals, and points. Both will continue to play and what these two do will be interesting to watch all season.

Westicles seems to be getting back into the swing of things with a nice mix of rebounding, points, and blocks.

Hurt and Harris continue to be solid, combining to score 19 points in a combined 25 minutes of play. Hurt was also solid with 5 boards.

A good win for K-State coming off that LBSU debacle and a nice challenge coming against Top 5 Arizona tomorrow night.

1) this is the Foster that we want to see. He won't always shoot 5-8 from 3pt and score 24 pts, but he and Gip have to be the ones leading our offense

2) really impressed with both Harris boys. Tre is proving what a quality shooter he is. Malik displaying his passing skills from the high post (3 assists).

3) this is the 3rd time in 4 games, we have shot at least 57% from 2pt, and the 3rd time our eFG has been at least 59%

4) I'm a little disappointed in Edwards last 2 gms. 25 minutes and 1-12 FG.  His confidence appears shaken a bit, and he is already in danger of seeing his minutes go to others.  I hope he breaks out of his funk because his athletic ability is what this team can really use.

5) We are 10 deep team.  Great to say that. Only problems can be if both Gip and Hurt have foul issues, because Bolden just isn't ready to be a contributor for this team yet

Are we finally a reliable 3 pt. shooting team? Or is this an anomaly? Please respond, it looks like Tre might be a specialist (I have low BBIQ for the record)

Wish we defended the post better today, that was my only concern. Officials did make it harder than it should of been, really protected the offensive players.  Offensive was amazing, Jevon and Nigel both played really well. Funny people are critiquing with some negative light.

Game was easily won. Was really impressed with how Malek played, doesn't played scared at all. Was really heady when flashing to high post.

I was also impressed with Purdue they have some talent, Haas will become a very good player.

Gipson is very undersized and will always struggle against bigs like Purdue has

Haas made Gip look like a child re: size.
