Doing gods work

I, for one, like that we are good enough to completely overlook Oklahoma State.
-
As if we needed anyone to tell us how good of a person Lockett is. Sheesh.
-
Hanging out in NYC at the Australian. Anybody else in here?
-
C-Sex doing C-Sex things
-
Sexton has become a very legit receiver
-
I enjoyed the color commentator using almost every "white football player" term in the book to see describe Sexton in the first quarter
-
Dumbass cowboy's knee was down lol what a dumbass
-
'Travis Britz has violence in his hands' lol
-
JFC Britz really does have violence in his hands
-
Hanging out in NYC at the Australian. Anybody else in here?
I'm not a statistician, but the odds are not good. #humblebrag

Okcat trying his best to pretend he was trolling. What a dumb eff.
-
Britz has really taken his game to an elite level this year. :lynchmob:
-
Okcat trying his best to pretend he was trolling. What a dumb eff.
What the eff are you going on about? The first drive was garbage. Been nice since. Stop trying so hard.

true that the odds of a ge'r being here are slim but there's about 30 hard core EMAWs in this place.

Interception.....psych!

Yup, hard to beat kstate and the officials, lol
-
Jake messing with their heads on purpose
-
Good to know that the refs know which team pays the bills
-
Schelly!!

The last three drives were complete garbage. Heads better be rolling in that locker room :chainsaw:

Matt Millen is a bad person. I enjoy his embarrassing comments but I can't believe he's still allowed on TV.
-
Yeah, we def got the D team announcers tonight

Matt Millen should either be A-team or fired. He's actually great to listen to.

I find him entertaining. Not that confusing.
-
I'd take Millen over Herbstreet
-
Well this game is boring as crap
-
I'd take Millen over Herbstreet
Herbstreet is boring. Millen is a breath away from calling a player a "man of taste and distinction" on air.
-
lol
-
Millen is a drunk John Madden

There's something weird on the backs of helmets. Kind if looks like a 27.

JD is for Jerry Dugan. Long time maintenance guy.
-
Lol osu
-
Truman has never moved that fast before. he's like that guy at the pickup game with an injury that only slows them down on defense.
-
You know OSU is crap when Truman and Shelly both get turnovers
-
Hubes in. How embarrassing for OSU.
-
My god, Hubes threw a great ball
-
:Wha:
-
I'm more excited that we called for a pass at this point in the game
-
My god, Hubes threw a great ball
This is going to devestate @Pett
-
Hubes will be a good starter next year. I'm firmly #teamhubes
-

Great looking pass. I didn't know he that kind of an arm. Bill doesn't rebuild at QB, he just reloads.

:D
-
So Delton will red shirt next year and start his rsSoph year. Yes?
-
Danzel McDaniel tackling people out wide has been a consistent pleasant thing this year
-
Also ffs everybody, it's not Hubes. It's Hubey
-
Hard to believe OSU has fallen this far so quickly
-
eff hubes
-
Hubes! Lol
-
#teamdelton
-
Jk
-
Also ffs everybody, it's not Hubes. It's Hubey
Yeah, Hubes doesn't work for me either.
-
Hubes would not do that. Hubey would
-
Hubener giveth and Hubener taketh.
-
Hubes is better than hubey. You guys are fighting the wrong battle, clearly.
-
So Delton will red shirt next year and start his rsSoph year. Yes?
Who knows, man. That's a long way away. If that happens, that probably means we're pretty solid at QB for the foreseeable future.
-
Should have been joey's second td pass tonight
-
At least we are good at kicker for a while
-
Are those heat lamps on the west side?
-
Jesse touchdown
-
Hubes is better than hubey. You guys are fighting the wrong battle, clearly.
Hubes is already taken though is the problem here
-
We don't retire nicknames
-
Jesse touchdown
I'm thinking ErTDz. :dunno:
-
Jesse football
-
Jesse football
-
Being the all time Iowa TD record holder, he was dubbed Jesse Touchdown a long time ago.

Can't really ask for a better nickname. I just like my studs to have some backup nicknames.
-
Are those heat lamps on the west side?
Yes
-
early on i would have called ok_cat a dumbass, but the more this thread progressed, the more i was like, this is actually a pretty good thread. i plan on rewatching the game today because i support the cats and was there, but matt millen is probably the worst football person on planet earth. so may watch on mute but may just listen to confirm my stance.
-
Burns pulling away from allegedly superior athletes was pretty great.
It's pretty lazy to stick with the schtick that all of our players are inferior athletes who play assignment sound football to compensate. We have high level players, it just doesn't fit the tired dialogue of the last 2 decades, so we get dumbassery instead.
-
low snaps all game long was the most annoying part of the game. that and OSU's first drive.
-

I couldn't figure out if that had something to do with the ball being harder due to the cold or if something was wrong with Finney. If 2013 Waters was back there it would have been a nightmare.
-

I can't remember that many low snaps in one game for a long time. It was really strange. The 2nd quarter offense was really annoying too, we didn't get into any rhythm and looked like we were going threw the motions up 21-7.

i'm sure this will turn into "quit bashing jake" thread, but some of Jake's throws once up 21-7 (even with all the time in the world) were just terrible. And I think Lockett had a drop (or two) which continues to baffle me.

No, he seems to have periods in games where he looks like he's trying to throw bounce passes.

Jake has about a 66% completion percentage, but a large percentage of those misses are awful throws. He also tends to group his bad throws into the same drives.
This leads to some bad three and outs, but the fact that he tends to string together nice throws in bunches leads to a lot of the extended scoring drives we see.
It's just who he is. He's a rhythm guy.
-
Jake's crap throws don't hurt us against terrible teams...will be interesting to see if they are noticed more in the next couple of games when our opponents have a pulse

Plus other than those kinds of errant throws, he is making very few mistakes. Granted, he made one really bad one yesterday when he didn't recognize OSU dropping into the old Tampa 2 with their MLB deep in coverage, but got bailed out by a roughing penalty. Other than that, the good thing is his misses aren't generally throws that are going to get picked off.
Also of note yesterday was a really good special teams performance, especially on coverage, but also Burns' big return. OSU's strength had been special teams this season and we held them in check.
-
It was good to see that Burns finally realized the he has speed and the direction of the endzone he's supposed to run towards. I also enjoyed our HCIW yelling at our punter for taking too long.
-
the world series must be over because
_fan is back!!! :excited:

Bill after the game was hilarious. "Our punter thought he needed to count the laces on the football. Once he got to 10 he tried to punt it and it was too late" or something like that.

Yep, I'll probably have to fire up the youtube machine and do some backdated play by play breakdowns, at least for Big 12 play to this point.
-
Bill has really upped his crotchety this season. I have enjoyed it immensely

We've been getting more positive press because of it, too.
People are like, "That LHC Bill Snyder is wise and witty. What does he have to say?"
And when he does, the press is eating it up.

It really is amazing the almost 180 the press has taken with Snyder in 2.0. He's still a dick to them most of the time but because he sounds like the old bastard telling kids to get off his lawn they think he's being funny
-
He apologized for the late fieldgoal

Did we have a punt blocked or something?

Didn't know he was supposed to kick field goals. :surprised:
