Title: Keys to Victory (serious thread)
Post by: EMAW4Lyfe on September 17, 2014, 10:40:48 PM
Everyone give like 3 keys to victory

1. Slow the game down- Kstate has got to slow the game down and keep Auburns offense of the field. Best way to keep a team from scoring.. keep them off the field

2. Get stops- K state has to get at least 5 stops in this game in my opinion to have a good shot.

3. Special teams- Need at least 1 big time play in this field whether its a kick for a TD or a punt block just something. With tyler back returning kicks that should help out a lot. Getting Morgan burns out of that spot will make me relax when watching kick returns

1. No consecutive incomplete passes.

2. Defense limits big (10+ yds ) plays

3. Actually make tackles when given the opportunity.

Don't cheat.

Play hard.

Remember it's just a game and winning is not as important as the life lessons learned along the way

Outscore the opponent.

See them driven before you.

And hear the lamentation of their women.

1. Protect Waters in the second half when the AU DL rotation usually overwhelms OL's
2. Somehow slow AU rushing attack, it that is possible.
3. Win the turnover battle

Frankly I don't see how KSU can win this, at least on paper. But that is why they play the games.....

Agree with slowing rushing attack.  Do Auburn's uni's have special pockets for shivs--we may want to take those out early.

Touchdowns!

That was going to be one of my keys, Winters!  :D

1. Can't kick FGs in the red zone...Have to get 7s, not 3s
2. Win the TO battle
3. 3 or fewer penalties

I know kim was just being kim, but it's not a matter of Auburn having to beat themselves as much as it is we can't beat ourselves with turnovers, penalties, and missed opportunities.

Nick Marshall will get "dinged up" at some point.

If its a past-Snyder-recruit..just expect that.

Stop a Taylor Martinez rehash

Think about making the tackle on the first opportunity rather than a later one

Break Malzahn's glasses so he can't see what he's doing

Does it bother anyone that some of these are nouns and some are imperatives, or am I alone on this? I fell like they should all be nouns.

Coaching staff needs to not crap themselves if we fall behind by more than a TD.
