I think people are over looking nino. He was pretty consistent for us for a big part of last year. His problem is being 4 man in a 3 man body, hopefully with Hurt and Bolden can give him flexibility to come out of the lineup when we see teams that have big 4's.
I think we are going to be pretty salty this year.

I'm guessing Malek will get quite a bit of time as the first off bench guy for Westicles and depending on how our bigs play or the match up against opposing fours. I can see him being a guy we stick on dudes like Niang that have the size and scoring ability to give him trouble on both ends

He is still behind Wesley and Edwards. I believe having Nigel playing minutes at the two will be more effective than freshmen Malek playing the Three. Thus, pushing Edwards to the three.

If Edwards or Foster can play the point than the line up should be Foster, Edwards, Westicles, Gilson/Harris, hurt/Bolden. I think Westicles is our best option by far at the three and I'd like to see him play most of his minutes there

renocat has an excellent point. Niño and Gip have always struck as the type of guys who would j/o on the court in order to win. Real men stuff. Not a lot of people willing to do that.

Our coaching staff on the recruiting trail is taking the lead early.

The biggest suprise may be the whole collective group -- 24+ wins, beating KU twice, and going to at least the elite 8. Glad the coaches are recruiting stud players. I would rather have a on going elite program than be a 1 or 2 year wonder like Butler, but I wouldn't squeal if we made the final 4.

We are about to have our best bb team in a long time -- lets hear your wildest dreams. With our depth and athletes, slow motion grinder ball is gone. Like a swarm of man eating locust we will be a whirl of terror. Fast paced defense that is sustained will make other teams willie burgers. A fast motion offense will eave opponents mouths opened and nauseated by the blur of purple going by them, shooting over them, attacking with bigs. Purple people on the plains are excited.
